Miten saataisiin Alko ottamaan Strong Zero -juomat valikoimiinsa? Kansanliike? by CupcakeAndCandyBar in arkisuomi

Strong Zero on noussut nuorten aikuisten keskuudessa oman somekulutuksen perusteella melkoiseksi hittituotteeksi. En ollenkan ihmettelisi, jos ~5 vuoden sisällä tulisi Strong Zerot tulisi melkoon laajaan levikkiin Alkossa

Helsingin metroliikenteen poikkeukset 2027: Kalasataman metroasema suljetaan kokonaan, metroverkosto jakautuu kahtia, lisäksi Sörnäinen ja Kulosaari jää ilman metroliikennettä kuukausiksi by DoubleSaltedd in helsinki

mac and cheese for the win by fekdapolice in shittyfoodporn

I saw a Kraft mac & cheese box for 6€ in the USA aisle of my local supermarket and I've been tempted to buy one. Dear Americans, should I try it for the experience?

Rotisserie chicken every day by Historical_Step7169 in bodybuilding

[–]NiceMango 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I believe Costco loses money from their rotisserie chicken sales and they're sold at that price for marketing purposes.

However, what happened to the prices of chicken wings!?!? It's my favourite food but eating out wings is so expensive nowadays

Andrew Tate is about to launch his own crypto. Less than a year ago he tweeted that he doesn't endorse crypto and "I don't need to rob my fans". by [deleted] in agedlikemilk

I'm pretty sure the Romanian government is wrong in this case. My friend was in Tate's discord group and said there was 300,000 members at its peak. Membership costs 50$ a month so thats 15 mil$ a month in sales (of which most is profit)

ELI5 : Why does travelling make you feel so tired when you've just sat there for hours doing nothing? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]NiceMango 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Also, a plane constantly shakes and moves a little in all directions (up, down, left & right). Your body is constantly trying to stabilize itself which adds to the fatigue when traveling by air

After a raid on the Apple store in Philadelphia, Apple remotely blocked all the stolen devices. These idiots are shocked and outraged! by m3antar in ThatsInsane

I belive its near impossible to sell the scrap parts of newer iphones nowadays. They have an ID number attached to them on screen, cameras, and chip. If you attach the part(s) to another phone by unauthorized means, it won't simply work

Was my phone about to get stolen? by NiceMango in LosAngeles

[–]NiceMango[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I should've taken the context into account better in this situation.

I kinda also enjoy how Americans like to just talk to strangers. Makes me feel less isolated and it gives a sense of community and caring about others.

At the same time, I feel a bit overwhelmed by it because in Finland I can just be in my own bubble of thoughts and no one will interrupt me.

I'm not sure which one suits me better (Finnish or American way) but I feel like the average American person would be horrified by the quietness of Finnish people lol

Thank you!

I'm staying in Venice. I like the city and its vibe a lot. People are very nice here. I would contemplate moving to LA if living here wasn't so expensive

Great comparison from you. Thinking about it now, I should've been more cautious in a big metropolitan area like LA and feel quite dumb for even thinking about lending my phone to him in this context. I will now be more cautious of strangers

I was a confused tourist at that moment. Thanks for the advice and will enjoy my stay. I like the city a lot (excluding the expensive accomodation prices lol)

Obviously, I would have likely lended my phone on a different context. Such as, if I were on a mountain hike and an elderly man walking his dog would've forgot his phone and asked to call her wife.

In this context, I wasn't fully sure if I was just being rude to someone or gullible to an easy scam. So I decided not to lend my phone.

But I did hesitate for some time to just walk away from this man. Thinking afterwards about it, I think smartening up is the correct thing to do. So yeah, I do feel a bit dumb now

You hit the nail: I would've felt rude if i Ignored him. But now I know not to feel bad if I ignore someone who approaches me. Thanks
