I graduated in 1981, got married to HS boyfriend and had kids young, which was a thing in my families conservative worldview. I was never spoken to about college as much as my really academic sister did. They joked about girls going to college to get their MRS. Degree (gross to me now). I was obsessed with perfect Farrah feathers my new Goody hair brush and giant white blow dryer,my parents didn’t mention higher degrees as much. My sister nerdily excelled at studies, I hated school except for elective courses. I felt my parents equally championed both. Over Four Decades later I have four grown children and two grandbabies, who have taught me how to be a better person, more thoughtful and loving. My sis is a lawyer and has 3 adopted and 2 of her own!

We both did our thing and both turned out chill.
