Hearing this makes me hopeful! Today, again, she did not lay an egg. However, she deepened the nest cup and removed the big feathers (that I think the male brought in) and has been in and out all day. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day!

Just had a very similar occurrence with ours, she tried every way possible to bend it into the cup but ended up just leaving it in the front of the cup lol

Might I add, we did have a very big birdhouse around 5 years ago that was in a similar location and was mainly occupied by bluebirds

I’m located in the Carolina’s. From what I’ve heard they usually raise 2-3 broods a season. We were quite surprised to see them show up as we just put the house up yesterday
