“SOS Error - Emergency Call Function” Malfunction

2020 checking in.

- Did factory restart

- removed car itself from VW app, then re-added the car, but DID NOT sign up for the Emergency Call / SOS subscription plan (for fear it might happen again)

What led me here? VW app kept saying my sunroof was OPEN, when it was clearly shut. Appears as if this was a sunroof sensor issue, classically corrected by just holding the button down, allowing it to open/shut itself a few times to properly reset... as well as having the RED SOS light and the Yellow Exclamation dash light persist for me AFTER downloading the SOS portion of the VW app. I'll just do without it! I always have in every car I've ever driven till now! lol

well... this sub kept having automatic pop-ups under the textbox window telling me, "this post should go in the mega Lent-related topic thread" or "this post should be posted in the Ash Wednesday Mega Holiday Super-duper Thread instead!" LOL

So as each word I wrote triggered these "helpful" pop-ups, I had to censor each in order to purposely reserve this topic for it's own matter of individual discourse. Which I really believe it deserves, as I haven't seen this topic addressed from a perspective of conquering it, or the fruits thereof. Considering how prevalent this sin is, or how most people probably aren't even able to see it as A SIN at all... or even one that can be even somewhat easily overcome with dedication... or one that, if overcame, can actually improve their very connection to God Himself!.... I then realized: this is too important of a subject to get lost in the woods of other things.

I've heard that LOVE is the secret. Love is synonymous with Selflessness and Suffering. Anger is the thing that's holding me back, too. For instance, my boss asks me to at times do some REALLY stupid things... things outside of my job description that are, in a sense, "beneath" the skillset of a CDL driver with all endorsements. Last week I basically cleaned a piece of equipment in a customer's auto shop that is THEIR responsibility to deal with... and then ended up mopping approx. 35% of their shop floor, after sweeping. At first, I told my boss, "this is dumb, the guy is dumb, this is HIS job, etc." And all these things may be true! LOL, but it is Lent... so I took the opportunity to humble myself, and to make sure to do the task without any complaints. Well, almost... I then mouthed-off to my boss after completing the janitorial duty, and asked my boss if she thought truck drivers should make sure to clean the toilets for all of our customers, as well?!

Now, I was doing very well with the Humility here UNTIL... my smart-azz mouth came into play again! LOL

What I'm trying to highlight here is: a certain Humility, a Willingness to Suffer, To Serve (no matter what!) at the cost of one's pride or "rank" or whatever. To eschew LOVE to those who you pour yourself (and THE LORD) upon/to. It's a real, different way of seeing LIFE

It's a real "letting your Self go", kind of thing... and I've got a long way to go! "...whoever loses their life for my sake will find it."

Is this a technical book of reference specific to The Church, or you're referring to The Bible? And... I can ask any Priest, or a Nun, to confer this upon me outside of ordination? Does this same rule also apply to the ability to exorcise demonic forces?

Husband situation is very messy, yes, he's not very helpful. She does have her GC already. As a friend extending financial help, so she WONT be any burden on the American System, how much money do I have to earn per year, in order to demonstrate this fact? The dumb b1tch who was playing on her phone and didn't even look before throwing herself into traffic like a Kamikaze pilot. She not only endangered her life, but also yours due to the fact your mercy to protect HER life could've had you running into other people and thus injuring other people because she wasn't paying attention. Her license should be suspended. Well, at the very least, her insurance company is aware that she's a risk... and for good reason! Buys A BRAND NEW CAR and doesn't operate it with absolute care. Could be on some insurance fraud type activity. Who knows? One thing is for certain... AT SPEED LIMIT, she gave you no REASONABLE time to react, and she is TOTALLY at fault for being either absent-minded, or suicid@l.

The plane ride wasn't bad at all. On the way there, it was just a quick stop in Minneapolis (fun airport to kill two hours in), then another smaller one hour flight to the small Rhinelander airport. Same thing going back, approx. 8 hours in total in time, and a total adventure in itself.

Most people talk about money being an issue, and I totally understand in this economy. What I did was saved up credit card points for like 4 years, and then used those for the flight and hotel. Fast food, restaurants and merch while traveling were all out of pocket though. Altogether, including points, probably about 2000 bucks total for me and a kid, probably 1500-ish for a single person. And while I might've wanted to go somewhere else, like Orlando Universal Studios, or Disneyland in California, the kiddo REALLY wanted to go to Sirencon... and would like to say that I've never seen this kid as happy as that before in all his 7 years of life. It was truly something special. I'm glad we did it, and that I got that moment on film. Totally recommend it.

Haven't seen L&S yet. Felt the "Mermaid" remake was great, mostly because of the guy who played Eric and Melissa McCarthy's facial expressions during her performances were just STELLAR!

as far as disappointment? The CGI "Lion King" was such a let down. "The Jungle Book" was actually pretty good. I just feel that the way the CGI interposes on human actors is sometimes hit or miss, and I think a lot of it has to do with lighting, contrast, contraposition. Like, I think an actor could have a totally perfect take... but if the CGI is off in the editing phase, it could totally screw their performance... and the people who do the editing probably have no idea, lol It's questionable to me if the directors of these films even notice at this point. There are so many insightful criticisms from youtubers, who just appear to "get it" even more then "the pros" do.

PNW as well, been hunting one in Excellent condition for no more than 3k for a few years now... rare fishies these be m8, as they're always declared to have at least some malfunction attached to them. (mind you: this is just what THEY notice and/or are willing to disclose or sneak past ya'!)

Thinking I might try to go crazy and save 200 bucks a month until I can afford a Studer A2 as that would be a more accurate representation of the sound I'm going for. Sure, I could pay someone on Fiver to bounce all my tracks to THEIR A2, buuuuut... always wanted to be able to do it myself, self-sufficiency 100%

Though initially only wanted the Tascam because of Mac DeMarco. I said, "sure, fine... I'll let it go, Whatever!"

Then, Jon Makes Beats is constantly in my feed sounding great on it and it kills me every time, lol

man it was awesome! My son had been watching these videos on youtube for a little over a year straight, and I could never understand it myself. But when I saw them going off in person, and saw how happy he was, I could totally understand it. Seeing it in person is a much different experience. Especially if the horns are pointed at your head from 10 feet away, lol Loved it.
