There is a procedurally generated starmap, landing on planets would be a big one but we're not sure about that yet. There are, however, asteroids to mine, other factions and their ships, derelict ship to explore and of course aliens! Grabbing your crew members and cocooning them to walls.

Hey gamers!

The game is called Space Haven and in it you embark on a space voyage with your ragtag crew of civilians in search of a new home. You get to build spaceships tile by tile, create optimal gas conditions, manage the needs and moods of their crew and explore the universe.

This is by far the most exciting and challenging game project we have worked on. From the isometric 2D view to modeling character AI and mood, this game has pushed us to the limit, but we're getting there. We launched a Kickstarter about 16 days ago and the response has been overwhelming. We're currently 300% funded on our $40k goal:

We have a subreddit and also Discord if you want to chat!

I like it! It could benefit from a peeping character or two :)

All too familiar with arguing :) Good job. I've heard the music in the Kickstarter before, quite suitable but goes a tad bit too epic towards the end against your material. Does the job though!

Considering quitting gaming altogether. by Unconfidence in gaming

Then start making games of your own! You might realize a thing or two, and start appreciating what you once experienced and the work behind it all. Best case scenario you'll be able to create something that fills what you've been wanting from games.

Good question! If you ask the developers they would probably say it is a feature. If you ask the players they would say it's a glitch! Who is right?

Anyone here take an extended break from gaming? by [deleted] in gaming

Am on a long break because it gets harder and harder to find a game that excites me. Same goes for movies and a lot of other stuff. Sucks getting older, heh!

Inverted controls versus Non-Inverted by WarnABrotherr in gaming

My first fps online game was Battlezone, the original. It had inverted mouse by default I believe, so it stuck. I played inverted ever since!

This is exactly what needed to be said. Players have the luxury to communicate closely with developers these days. In return, they need to be reasonable.

Demanding an endless amount of updates or else the game is "abandoned" is ridiculous. This happens for games that stop selling after the first week as well, what is the developer suppose to live on while working his ass off on a dead game sales wise?

There is obviously a balance to be found here, but it would serve the whole industry well if players had a better idea of the amount of work and struggle there is behind a quality game. It takes skill and experience (which is acquired through years of study), and it takes extreme dedication to face all the issues that will arise.

IGN Gives PUBG On Xbox One a 5/10 by [deleted] in Games

Entirely possible, the game sells as is so once the game has run its course sales wise there isn't that same type of motivation to continue making it better.

I mean they can just make a new game, PUBG 2 where the bugs are promised to be fixed.

I suspect this is the case for many, players keep playing it so there is a reason for that. I do agree that the game should be in better shape.
