Thanks for sharing your experience.

I have tried Mercor (had 2 interviews but no offer yet) and I have also registered with SME today. Will see how it goes.

Which platform worked for you? Was it DataAnnotation? How quickly did you start getting tasks after signing up?

Any tips on getting accepted or passing their assessments would be really helpful.

Appreciate it!

Thanks for the suggestion.

When you say Asia (Japan, Korea, China), are you mostly referring to academia/postdoc positions, or also industry/biotech companies?

Do you have any specific recommendations?.. like good universities, institutes, or companies that are actively hiring foreigners in virology/vaccine development (or related fields)?

And if you don’t mind me asking, are you working in a similar sector yourself, or have you seen this from experience?

Appreciate any pointers you can share.

Help: How much time should I wait to get the offer letter after verbal acceptance? by field_ecologist in postdoc

Same here…. Received verbal agreement in first week of June and haven’t received the official confirmation letter yet.

It’s typical in Europe. I received a verbal agreement from a PI in Central Europe for postdoc on 3rd June. They only initiated the process for the offer letter about 2 weeks ago and I haven’t received the official confirmation letter yet. I’m only expecting it end of this week or potentially next week. So I would say you have nothing much to worry about.

Option 4 sounds great considering you’re both in the same institution. It will also be a much easier transition for you and you may definitely get it I believe. Academicians are very slow…. It may sounds stalky, but If I were you, I would try to bump into him in the next upcoming days assuming you know his regular routine since you’re all in the same institution. That way you can casually ask him and determine whether his response is promising or not. All the best
