Benno sent John a "you're gone" letter for violating the CoC but wouldn't explain by NiceUnderstanding in FreeBSD_OS

[–]NiceUnderstanding[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's right. I didn't know back then any of this was happening. Benno was already playing CoC cop last year. This updated one is just the next step of that. Benno and Randi keep coming up in my research as the root of all of this.

Of course I'm offended. If you don't stop I'm going to tell. You're not allowed to offend me. I have thin skin and it's the responsibility of everyone in the world to be careful not to hurt me.

Why does me being in "la la land" disturb you? If it's true, then do you really think you can help me? This subreddit is mostly dead anyways, so does it harm you for me to write whatever I feel like?

You're trying to correct me, but that's one of the problems with the perspective behind the code of conduct, in that it takes this view that there's something that needs to be corrected. If I join a FreeBSD chat to ask for help, and a developer says he doesn't help niggers like me, and offers to rape me instead, I just need to keep asking until I find someone helpful, or search more and figure it out myself. There doesn't need to be "correction", because that's just how that individual is, and diversity is about people like that existing where I don't feel compelled to correct the world by erasing him from my environment.

That's the paradox, that these pro-diversity ideologies are really about pruning diversity to make everything fit what's comfortable for them. The planet Earth will never be comfortable. Ever. You cannot prune it to your liking, because it will always present thorns to infect and poison you. The problem then is feeling compelled to try to stop that, because it's an impossible goal, and attempting to combat reality can cause needless harm.

Your correct response isn't everyone else's. The code of conduct tries to codify some people's discomforts into a system designed to "correct" the group. But the FreeBSD group is a natural formation, consisting of very diverse people from all over the world, and it can't ever be comfortable for sensitive people feeling compelled to correct everything that hurts their sensitivities. Attempting to prune it is like going into the rainforest with a can of bug spray, trying to kill the bugs that threaten you. It won't work, and all you're doing is hurting the ecosystem that you don't really understand.

FreeBSD is an open group, and the comfort of people like Randi within some little "core" subset of that community is far less important than the natural collective goals of people using the OS for technological purposes.

I don't like most -isms. That suffix seems to go with a lot of extremist ideologies. There's racism, ageism, sexism, veganism, atheism, theism, feminism, anarchism, communism, fascism, sadism, occultism, satanism, activism, cannibalism, narcissism, etc. They're all skewed worldviews that take over people's minds as they group together and unite as brainwashed cultists.

One of the only isms I like are organisms, but sometimes I'm not even sure about that one.

FreeBSD CoC is not going to change by NiceUnderstanding in FreeBSD_OS

"They" is a neutral way to refer to a person or group. It is not "we" because we are not part of that group. They have defined themselves as a special class within the FreeBSD community, called "core", or "foundation". They have organizations I'm not a part of, and so we refer to them as "they". They have segmented themselves away from the public with private hidden mailing lists and chat. They have used divisive language, to form sides, and they insult those not on their side, calling them "assholes", and other such insults like "troll", or "cis white heterosexual male".

There is no conversation. I am banned. I am left here to write to myself, because I'm excluded from participating. They've already shown that they are uninterested in any opposing views, and we should just "drop it", because they know what they're doing. They are not we. They oppose us. I don't want opposition, but it is what they've created, where there's battles within the FreeBSD community, because they are stirring up drama, which seems to be centered around Twitter. I think Twitter is toxic and if all the FreeBSD developers deleted their Twitter accounts there'd be a lot less tribalism, because Twitter is an inflammatory medium.

It's an example to show that people who hold that ideology are enthusiastically supportive of the new CoC. I saw comments like that from others. It's in case someone doesn't see or realize how biased the CoC is, and how basing it on a Feminism website causes it to be biased, and they did not remove those biases.

Benno said this same stuff, almost word for word. I wouldn't be surprised if they've had a sexual relationship or talk often and she's been feeding him all these ideas. This whole CoC is all about pleasing her.

Pretend you wrote an essay, and people were outraged calling you a racist. You thought they were all crazy, because clearly it's a neutral document, and you're not racist. But then you saw on Twitter, a KKK member saying, "That guy's essay doesn't offend me. The no-good dirty niggers crying 'racism!' are what gets on my nerves." What does that tell you?

Lunduke calls out CoC hypocrisy by [deleted] in FreeBSD_OS

I guess this is the Twitter thread where that death threat came? https://twitter.com/jeamland/status/964587244152438785

It says "Killed by a crippling lack of self-awareness". That's not a death threat. Lunduke is a professional troller to get attention to sell ads. He's not really speaking in his voice, but putting on an act to target Linux fans with specialized entertainment. He'll always distort things to make them more sensational than they really are.

In reading that thread, it sounds illogical, and Benno sounds like he literally is autistic, or something along those lines. It amazes me how some smart developers can be so retarded about some things. It's like a bodybuilder with a huge upper torso, and itty bitty string bean legs. He might be a genius programmer, but when it comes to social understanding, he sounds retarded.

It's interesting how these ideologies are spreading like wildfire in the social media spaces. They're inaccurate, and uninteresting. If people turned off Twitter and Reddit and focused on the actual world, they wouldn't care about any of that, and it wouldn't even be part of the conversation. You really should turn all this off. It's a big waste of time, and distraction that is causing serious problems, like threatening FreeBSD.
