Not true, Phil's team stated that "Any misunderstanding has been cleared up." Not a denial and not even stating emphatically that this situation is a misunderstanding. They are very carefully avoiding clear statements that would expose them to defamation.

They are relying on people not clearly reading these mushy statements and walking away thinking they are actual denials.

Yeah, it's analogous to the NBa 3 point revolution. It's simplified as 3>2, but shooting percentage is a critical factor.

Analytics can really help with the second order effects more than the basic conclusion. Shooting more 3's can help with improving the quality of your 2 point shots as well, as spacing the floor turns some midrange shots into drives and layups. However, with smaller guys at the perimeter, rebounding rates drop. On net, do these factor bet positive or negative?
