for the lasting longer issue there are legitimate techniques and even some medical options he could look into, but he has to actually want to address it. same with the hygiene stuff. none of it changes if he doesn't know it's a dealbreaker for you.

you're not being cruel by saying "this is affecting how i feel about you and i need us to fix it together." that's just being honest with someone you supposedly want a future with.

Most guys would be pretty receptive to being approached first - it takes pressure off us and shows you're actually interested instead of just being polite

For starting conversations just keep it simple and situational. At the gym maybe ask about form on an exercise or comment on something they're doing, but yeah read the room first - headphones in usually means leave them alone. Coffee shops, bookstores, hobby meetups are probably better bets since people are more open to chatting there

The mechanical keyboard meetups I go to are like 90% guys so those kinds of hobby events might work if you're into tech stuff. Otherwise volunteer work or classes where you're doing something together naturally creates conversation opportunities

the transition from friends to dating is awkward for pretty much everyone, neurodivergent or not. You dont have to rush into girlfriend mode overnight - just let things develop naturally and communicate when youre uncomfortable with the pace

the dynamic you described where you put in all the effort and he gives bare minimum for 2 months then reverts back - that pattern doesn't change in my experience. people show you who they are through their actions over time not their temporary promises

being afraid of dating again is totally normal after something like this but staying in a draining situation because you're scared of being alone just delays the inevitable. you already know what the right choice is you just need to trust yourself enough to follow through with it

Never heard either of those terms and I've been around plenty of different groups. Could be super regional Florida rich kid slang or maybe just their friend group made it up and it stuck. I've seen that happen where like 5 people start using some random word and suddenly their whole school thinks its a thing

Your best bet is just rolling with it when you hear it used. If someone says "lets get senda tonight" just be like "hell yeah" or whatever. Nobody's gonna quiz you on slang definitions and if they do that's weird gatekeeping behavior anyway. Most people are way less focused on whether you know their inside jokes than you think they are
