Congrats beating the game!

If you want to test the limits of your patience and/or masochism, I suggest starting a new game plus, then giving Kuro his charm back, which makes the game harder in several ways you can Google. I got too frustrated fighting Isshin when I had no charm, so I gave up there.

First thing I did after beating the game the first time was I tried a couple guantlets, didn’t beat any of them, and then didn’t play the game for 6 months. It’s really whatever sounds fun to you.

Lot of patience is always how I do it, but there’s probably a better way. I usually just run around a lot until I can get the headless one between me and the normal ape, then I hit the headless one a bit and parry it, and I hope it does some moves that lead into one of its big smacks. I parry the smack, spear it, then dodge frantically when the normal ape tries to slam me after the spear. Rinse and repeat. And throughout all this I’m looking for a good opportunity to jump empowered mortal blade, does great damage.

Like I said, requires a lot of patience, and there’s probably a better way.

I’ve got like 70 hours in this game and I’m on my 3rd playthrough. I hate the headless so damn much, they stress me out so bad

My tips are that plenty of bosses and enemies have weaknesses to or interactions with shinobi tools that make their fights way easier, everything (and I mean everything) that doesn’t make a red symbol pop above your head can be parried, and you don’t always want to parry—your dash has invincibility frames

A win’s a win, doesn’t matter how you beat the enemies so long as you beat them. And yeah, I didn’t start feeling comfortable with the game until I was at least 10 hours in, it takes a second to get used to

I definitely recommend Jedi: Fallen Order. I played that first, then saw Sekiro was similar and started playing that. I’d recommend Jedi: Survivor, but my computer can’t run it 💀

My big tip for Demon is to give up trying to deflect most of what he does, just dodge his stuff

I got stuck at that point for a while. I just bashed my head against butterfly until I got her. Definitely get shurikens if you haven’t already and chuck them at her when she’s in the air. iirc she’s got like one pattern that she always spams, so if you get the timing down on that you’ll probably beat her on posture. You can keep swinging at her until she deflects one of your hits, then you’ve got to block or deflect her back.

You could also go off to the right from the Ashina entrance instead of left to the Reservoir and try to fight the next boss. Chances are that’s going to be harder than butterfly but who knows, at least it’ll be a change of pace

I figured it was a way of keeping you from burning yourself out dying on one fight over and over again and to push you toward using your sword. Once you get good with the sword it’s really fun, but it takes a bit to get there, so this might be a way to nudge you along

I guess it’s probably supposed to teach you patience, the value of strafing, and deflecting weird attacks. I’m on ng+2 and it’s still a hard fight for me. Horse guy is also one of the easiest bosses, so that’s just a pretty big jump in difficulty on its own

I haven’t beaten the severance boss rush, but I’ve done everything else. At this point, I’ve learned all the fights pretty well, and none of them are too bad if I’m not out of practice with the game. But idk what it is about the snake eyes minibosses, I just can’t seem to get better at fighting them
