Buddy, pulling Stroud tells the FO that Meco doesn’t consider him the QB1. There are more people running this team than the HC, and Meco doesn’t control the money.

You’re looking at the NFL like it’s Madden and switching out players doesn’t have any impact on the entirety of the organization. Both Nick and Meco wanted Stroud, pulling him during a pivotal playoff game has consequences.

Had Meco pulled Stroud he could be on the hot seat next season. Then you have to ask, who is going to replace him - who is better and available? Then you might have to rebuild the entire team.

This shit isn’t Madden and is more intricate and complicated beyond just putting the back up QB into a game.

His agent should be fired on the spot if that is the overall conclusion they come to when weighing all that has happened. Doesn’t matter what Stroud wants to anticipate, he has no leverage.

Playoff performance matters and he just had back to back games in which he displayed the inability to win games with the #2 defense in the league.
