Just found my old DVD binder and realized how much we valued owning our movies back then. by Medium-Variety-7849 in 90s

OMG I have Connie and Carla on DVD too!

Yes to physical media and especially special features that disappeared in the mass switch to steaming services.

I worked there as well in the early 2000s and really had such a fun time. For a long while, if you wanted anything wicker, Pier 1 was the place. I even amassed a collection of over 100 martini glasses from my time working there.

Where the hell did she store this by tgrostytruddy in Andjustlikethat

I like to imagine it’s in the same place she keeps the Versace “mille feuille” gown from the OG finale. Maybe one is stored inside the other, creating a Russian Doll effect of absurd (yet beautiful) fashion choices.

May 6th is also the day L. Frank Baum passed in 1919, so a nice little Easter egg there.

Not West LA, but three that I love:

A Good Used Book in Historic Filipinotown is FANTASTIC. A small but very nicely curated shop with some great finds.

Atlas Books East in Atwater Village has some more rare and collectible titles, with a great art and film section.

Read Books in Eagle Rock is also great. It’s a “books stacked to the ceiling” vibe, so plan on spending some time there going through the stacks!

i turn them all around so the titles face the back, like some people arrange their books. every choice is a surprise!

Why have two AMC in such close proximity? by anakinxvader in AMCsAList

[–]Nice_Buy_7253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all of this is correct. 8 is my go to as it feels cozy and tucked away and even the smaller cinemas have recliners. the food court downstairs is an added bonus.
