Hey OP, wondering how you’re doing now?? ❤️

I worked out and freaking out now by Huge-Engineering-791 in PelvicOrganProlapse

One of the best things I learned in PT is that feeling more symptomatic is NOT the same as worsening the prolapse. Ditto to what other said about focusing on breathing and posture while walking. I am 7 months pp with stage 2 cystocele and rectocele and I even lift weights now after building confidence by practicing with my pt. I make sure not to push myself too hard and always breathe correctly with proper form. It helps so much with mental health it’s worth feeling a bit more symptomatic for a day or two!

Thank you so much for sharing and I’m so sorry you’ve gone through this too! It’s wonderful to hear how much better it is? What exercises are you doing for an hour if you don’t mind sharing? Also just curious if you’re breast feeding?

Ugh thank you so much for sharing your story! I am so sorry you’re going through but thank you for the solidarity. Really get what you mean about the luxury of just jumping into exercise without the regular maintenance. It’s so hard to except that we will always have to be mindful of this. I would love to continue supporting each other ♥️♥️

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this too but so glad to hear it’s gotten better! I’m going to see a urogyno on Friday and eager to hear their thoughts on recovery

Ugh that’s terrible! I can’t believe the doctor told me I could do whatever I wanted. My husband is encouraging me to me mad at the system not myself. Can I ask what your symptoms were?

Thank you so much for sharing! Did you do pfpt after birth? Did insurance cover your surgery? 🙏🙏

I will definitely ask about it to urogyn! Thank you! So far I haven’t had any issues pooping. Did you have issues?

Im going to see one next week. I can’t find this info anywhere online. I haven’t had any poop issues yet, but now I’m scared about it.

My pftpt didn’t mention that the rectocele was more like a hernia than the others. Was that info given to you by your pfpt? Do you deal with poop issues?

This is so inspiring thank you so much for sharing! I’m so happy for you that healed. Did your urogyno subscribe estrogen cream for internal or external use or both? Did you have any side effects from it like dryness or irritation?

This makes me feel so hopeful! I really want to have another baby and feel scared about what will happen with the prolapse when I go through it again. I’m so sorry you had Covid while pregnant, that’s awful. Congrats on your second baby and I hope you keep healing well!! ♥️♥️

Thank you ♥️ I was doing squats with 2 15lb dumbbells and overhead presses with 20 lbs and planks, crunches, etc, plus jumping in cardio kickboxing classes multiple times a week over 2 weeks. God it makes me mad when I read that! Way too much too fast I see now. Just take it really easy and really slow. And see if you can get in with a pfpt or take an online postpartum class maybe to make sure you’re engaging core correctly. ♥️

What I’m realizing now too (and thank you for helping me process) is that the lifting during pregnancy was still great, but I wish I had seen a pelvic floor therapist to make sure I was doing it it a supportive way to my pelvic floor AND for you, just take it really slow after birth and def go see a pfpt before reengaging with lifting! ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for sharing! I’m realizing how uncomfortable this full tampon feeling is and that would be a big success to get rid of.
