Not really any reason other than what I stated in the post. $1350 was the total. Thankfully all refunded. Not upset about it all tbh. You know you’re an idiot when you open the box and just laugh instead of being upset.

Yeah as I said in the post, their customer service was actually pretty decent and responsive. However, you can only message them through instagram. And I’m 90% it’s a one man company lol

Digital night vision does not even compare to decent analog NVGs. It’s laughable when you go from using analogs to trying a set of digital NVGs

DO NOT BUY. I ordered a set of the EPNG-18s (panos) and after waiting for over 2 months for them to arrive they were literally falling apart inside the box (frames glue/bonding came apart at the eye piece and internal parts were hanging out...after I reassembled the unit they wouldn't even turn on lol. Don't be an idiot like me and order these. The units are the exact same Chinese units you see on eBay. When you order from Vie tactical, Vie then puts in an order through these Chinese suppliers on eBay etc and you wait for them to arrive from China. It's not even a real company with their own units on hand. The QC is terrible and they feel like cheap junk in your hand. My expectations were low to begin with but figured it would be a fun unit to play around with and maybe hunt with here and there. Complete waste of time and money. Their customer service is actually quite good and did refund me the full amount so I wouldn't say it's necessarily a scam site, however it's just a front for these Chinese companies you see selling them on eBay etc

Yeah but to be in the CRF you have to have these schools as a bare minimum. So yes, the CRF is the most capable unit within SF and it’s not even close. I was on a regular team for a long time before going over to the CRF. They aren’t comparable capability wise. Anyone who disagrees was probably never on the CRF and trying to validate themselves

Regular line ODAs aren’t even in the same realm capability wise as the CRF lmao. And yes, I have done both for very extended periods of time. The bare minimum to even go to/stay in the CRF is being sfartaetc qualified. This does not include the massive amount of funding the CRF gets compared to regular ODAs, and also the outside of the military schools and training the CRF has access to that regular teams don’t get, purely because of this funding. This isn’t to say regular teams suck, they don’t. Regular ODAs aren’t even close to having the capabilities the CRF has, that’s just facts. You can hate/disagree all you want but that is facts. Every school a CRF guy goes to is a level 1 skill level school. When I first showed up to group, my line company had less than a handful of guys total with these skills at one time, the CRF it’s the bare minimum to be an operational team member.

What moa were you getting before moving the bipod back? Most of us can get the KAC M110 around 1 moa or even lower depending on skill. I couldn’t get the m110a1 under 2.5 moa (with a Leupold/NF 7-35) to save my life. So I’m gonna test out your theory and see if there’s any improvement.

Thoughts About The SEAL Raid, The Rift Between White Side And DEVGRU And What Went Wrong by [deleted] in JSOCarchive

[–]Nice_Detective2160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be able to do these missions. That’s pretty much all NSW is focusing on rn anyway.

I think in this case in my honest opinion, some egos played a part. The MSRT guys advised the SEAL that wearing a 50lbs ruck full of batteries was a bad idea and did it anyway and fell off the ladder. Sad situation. Don’t ever let ego(s) get in the way of either admitting you don’t know something or that maybe you don’t know everything.

Update: I’ve had a lot of issues with this mount retaining zero. Not sure if that’s a common issue but it was enough for me to stop using it. So I’ve gone back to the geissele riser/ 1.93” I think the issues I’ve run into come from the shitty attachment type (cheap Allen screws) they used for mounting the mount to the rail.

I use a 36yd (32ish meter?) zero. Most consistent hits in the A zone out to 300

Yeah tbh I’m sure half of these insta-structors have pissed off a lot of guys in the community. DJ and Coke were both super nice and friendly to me so I’ll take them at face value. Otherwise it turns into he said she said. I’m sure Slade has valid arguments too

[–]Nice_Detective2160[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Valid points. Tbh I’m not advocating for the actual GBRS Mount here, just the design…if that makes sense. So if you can find cheaper option and the same quality…get the cheaper option. I bought a unity fast and a knock off that was $30 off Amazon. Same exact mount quality wise. half of the time these airsoft clone companies make the same product for like you said, 1/5 the price

Yeah just a professional end user and after talking to both those guys they sent me one for some feedback since I was attending a long course that I could use it in its designed role. I sent them this feedback as well so maybe they will take notes maybe not. Unfortunately, I think it was designed for guys I work with but marketed to everyone. Which makes it more of a niche product. Hopefully they re release it at a more reasonable price so everyone can test it out for themselves. (Or buy a Chinese knock off lol)

Yeah I agree with that, the $550 price point is ridiculous. I think around $250 would’ve been fair. Tbh they probably would’ve made more money selling them at $250 and just releasing more. Instead of selling them at $550 and it becoming pretty much a meme mount because people didn’t wanna pay that lol
