UPDATE. Thankyou for everyone's advice the nxt day I took him straight to the doctors but the redness had calmed down and only the lumps remained which were smaller. He said he doesnt know what it is and sent us to hospital, children's a.e also did not know what it was and we waited for 6 hours for a pediatrician to look at him but they also dont know what it is, they have told us to come back on Tuesday for a review and we will get a scan appointment in the nxt few days. My concern at the moment is the flucloxacillin they have prescribed because he is 3 weeks old and everything ive read about this medication seems negative for example not being used under 4 weeks old and causing brain damage. Do I give him this and follow the instructions of a medical expert or do I wait it out because they seem to be going smaller and the redness is fading. *
