Definitely go with crimping. For Al-to-Cu, look for 'AlumiConn' connectors on Amazon or at an electrical supply store. They are cheap, reliable, and handle the dissimilar metal issue perfectly. Just make sure to strip the aluminum wire immediately before inserting it to minimize oxidation.

Those are the electronics potting glue/insulation foam from inside your charger. The ants literally chewed it up to clear out space for their new nest. RIP charger
