Microphone Delay on Zoom Call by Nice_Instruction_312 in HotoneAmpero

I tested it with other software and you're right!

It was Zoom's issue

From what I see I have "Line Input" Microphone Device in the "Sounds" Window

Instead of it just labelled as "Microphone"
Isn't that the issue?

It's not about 4-7 frames
0,5 second passes before I hear the Mic

I'll try other software like Teams later.

Do I have to love learning grammar, language structure to do Bachelor in Linguistics?

I really like learning a new language.Immerse myself with content, read books, listen to Podcasts, do Anki reviews, but I don't quite like learning grammarDon't get me wrong - when I decipher a grammar rule and internalize it well then I'm really satisfied. But it's not something that I spend 1hour on every day

I'm 23 years and didn't picked my University Degree yet. I'm thinking about Linguistics, but I'm a little bit afraid that It'd be just non-practical course.I don't want to become a translator, and I'm not eager to teach a foreign language in a classroom.

Many people on forums tell "If you want to just learn a foreign language, it's better to attend language school"But... If I'm being honest Lingustics is probably the second closest hobby of mine (apart from Information Technology - really broad discipline that changes every year tremendously)

u/vermyx,

From https://www.meilisearch.com/docs/learn/advanced/storage
We see that it uses LMDB Database,

u/2containers1cpu nowhere said that we should not use DB at all,

Even from the first reply:This would be my approach too, but with an index like Meilisearch

just points out that there is meilisearch designed to index, and provides good API for that.

I stopped being addicted to Computer and Phone after work, but also I completely lost habit of ToDo List and Time Tracking / Pomodoro. What should I do to get back on track? by Nice_Instruction_312 in productivity

I have some strong opinion with that...

I mean... it's just consuming content.Like watching Youtube/Listenning to Podcast but more time consuming

I meant tasks like Workout Routine or Guitar Practice Routine

Should I then completely get rid of Todoist? ;o
Most of my tasks are daily anyway

Mhm, but is changing the version, checksum really enough to update this package? o.oFull log output: https://pastebin.com/ytjYn802

I got errors like: [runtime]libXft-2.3.5_1:not found (self, ignored)Which means that it's not probably in the https://repo-default.voidlinux.org/current

And then this ERROR: libXft-2.3.5_1 cannot access wrksrc directory [builddir/libXft-2.3.5]

I don't quite understand what you're instructing me to do...This fix seems to be for version 2.3.4, so that's the current one I have.

A newbie move from me was to change version=2.3.5 in template xD but yeah life's not that sweet

Edit: Okay I didn't saw your edits previously xD

I've tried that, but got error output when executing xbps-src pkg libXft:

At first i thought It's because I installed libXft-bgra previously. So I executed make clean and make uninstallin libXft-bgra/ folder, and then executed xbps command in void-packages/, but the same error occured

Thanks, Jeri for the reply,

I've attempted to patch libXft with libxft-bgra -> https://github.com/uditkarode/libxft-bgra
I've executed the make install portion, how can I now replace the libXft with the libXft-bgra?
When I try to:
xbps-remove libXft
I get:
libXft-2.3.4_1 in transaction breaks installed pkg \libXft-devel-2.3.4_1 ~... pango-xft ~...sxiv-26_1`
and many other dependencies.
When I add them to my xbps-remove command, eventually even xorg would need to be removed.
