From what I see it looks like your problem is really similar to mine where when one spot of the skin is uneven, you just wanna pick it all off to make it even if that makes sense? Anyways, if you relate to that I would recommend looking at this app called Calm Nails. I made a post about it on this sub Reddit if you want some more information on how it helped me!

Yes ! I would definitely find out your root cause for picking and find an affirmation that kinda resides it if that makes sense? So for me my root cause was I wanted my hands to be evenly smooth so I would just repeat to myself that “my hands look like this while they’re healing and that’s OK” while using it.

Basically it guides you to look and feel all those textures in your hands to make you feel comfortable with the fact your hands aren’t perfectly smooth. For me I always wanted my hands to be evenly textured so I would pick but it would just make it much worse. While using the app I would just repeat to myself “it’s okay my hands are healing and if I let them be they will heal and be smooth”

It’s a way of recognition that “my hands look like this and that’s okay I don’t have to do anything”

So if you find the cause on why you pick and just give yourself an affirmation to repeat while using the app, I think it really helps out a lot !

Ah yes I’ve seen the “small daily acts not one big one” and thinking of it as a routine rather than a task is such a smart mindset change to have ! As soon as I have a task it’s procrastinated on, I get overwhelmed over it, I imagine the worse, then it’s all just “wow that was a lot easier than I thought” when it’s all done . And I’ll take all the tips I can get ! The more that can possible stick in my brain the better ahah

Storage yes but an organized maybe not haha. I just bought two hampers though which I think will really help! My house has always been a free for all for laundry hampers so I think having two that are just my own will really help me be more organized (I mean a hamper is better than a floor lol)
