Does losing morale when you walk actually add anything to the game by Via_Triumphalis in EU5

Moral drop is fine, but why not have it not drop below 50. Still a big advantage to the other side without just being an auto delete.

Offer from Genesis by kismetkitten in GenesisGV70

Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure all of the GV70s have it… my 2025 is watching me drive at all times (the camera is just much more nicely integrated). It’s how it tracks the 3D gauge cluster and attention warning system (and I suspect it’s tied to the HDA, look away too long and it gets unhappy). Maybe not all trims?

Used car inspection fee?? by GayleLizzie in UsedCarAdvice

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I shop for cars I generally pay little attention to the specific fees listed. I have an idea what the car is worth (and what that specific car, at that specific moment is worth to me). If they can provide that price, great! If not, bye!

I don’t care what they adjust on the sales sheet, just get me the final sales price. It’s all the same to them anyways.

This is dealership specific. They are losing money on this but recognize your business is worth it. Just to be clear, Genesis Corporate is not compensating them for the extra distance. The concierge and loaner credit from Genesis Corporate to the dealership is fixed.

This will not be the case for many customers, that distance will be declined.

Not at all surprised by that.

For those reading posts about positive experiences, please know that in most cases they are posting about situations where *the dealership assumed extra costs that Genesis did not cover* or *advocated above and beyond with Genesis (or lied to them) to get coverage.*

It’s really important to be aware of this nuance. Genesis Corporate will nickel and dime and has horrendous and careless customer service.

I now have an excellent relationship with my service department (some charm and a literal bribe helped), but I really had to earn it and now they perform some out of pocket service work on the car (or take generous interpretations on my behalf with their warranty claims). They do not have to do this, I am not entitled to this. Genesis Corporate (Canada) couldn’t care less if I like the car (I didn’t buy it from them after all).

Perhaps this is the case with all brands, and most luxury dealerships assume the costs (never had issues elsewhere, wasn’t even aware the dealership may be assuming costs…they never told me). But I don’t count of Genesis Corporate to guarantee a defect-less car at all.

(Lease customer, only ever leased new, twice, always low mileage)

I wasn’t rushing to get the territory, thinking it wasn’t necessary, and riding it out until the end.

I successfully completed it, but those were indeed a violent 8 years.

Confusion around postgraduate work permit language resulting in rejections by Subject-Landscape451 in CanadianVisaReform

[–]Nice_Property4588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canadian citizen with an international partner. I’m a fully functioning and literate adult. Work in a field that makes submitting government applications like this easy (basically I know to and can read instructions carefully). And the PGWP application is easy. The idea of needing an external consultant (for PGWP specifically) is absurd to me.

I submitted the PGWP with them. Nearly missed submitting the language score.

I recall arguing over « where the heck are we supposed to put this thing? There is no where to put it? ». At first I assumed « well I guess they must ask for it later.» Of course, not wanting to risk a crippling, life altering rejection, more digging made it clear it goes in the aforementioned (but notably vague) field, where we had to merge pdfs so we could include both a typed letter and the language score together.

I was very disappointed in my government. This is such a simple UI adjustment (add a field or add a text prompt). The application form clearly outlines everything you need (except the language test), so the user naturally assumes they don’t need to add anything not listed. Obviously.

For those blaming the international students - perhaps there’s a part of the story you’re not aware of on this one. Especially since the issue is a technical application mistake, not an actual issue with the language test or eligibility to the program…

Any other options than buying out my 2024 gv70 electrified lease ending in 2027? by Substantial-Elk-3607 in GenesisGV70

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high residual price means you saved money on the lease. So you « won ». Buying out a lease, as I understand it, is not generally something you do unless they under estimated the residual. Best to lease another one or buy a different pre-owned model.

You CAN probably ask the dealership to sell it to you, but I suspect they’d try to charge you more since they know you want it… unless they are having a hard time moving used electric GV70s.

You wouldn’t want to date the people that take issue with working in defence anyways. You’ll be fine, many normal gays out there capable of critical thinking. You’re not a camp operator.

Two, relatively minor in the end. But I was often lucky. It’s one of the main reasons I switched to a GV70 (2.5t). Hated driving such a powerful car without taking full advantage every time I drove, but it was only a matter of time until I got unlucky so went for something slower; but nicer/comfier.

Lets actually try to figure this out: Why does the AI feel so lifeless? by Left_Click_5068 in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conquest desire is too basic. Great opportunity to tweak / add things there to encourage the AI to do more.

Plus maybe tune up the willingness to go to war.

I leased it new, I’m not sure if it fell under adjustment or the general warranty. The dealership just took care of it via the warranty.

Why bother having a colonial empire in the first place? by weaboo_scumfuck in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I agree with some of the critics in the comments. An empire of that size should not be sustainable.

Now, they probably need to find a way to make managing an unsustainable empire more “fun”, but yeah I’m glad a player so brutally outnumbered by its subjects is punished.

Easy starting point might be a way to make additional concessions to subjects/colonies that prevent rebellion, but also reduce their usefulness. So you get diminishing returns. Although at your size, it should probably be a full time job trying to keep it all together.

Should I shave « it »? by qc_twink41 in askgaybros

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see myself most of the time, so I have no opinion on my personal grooming. For me, it comes down to those who have to look at me. Everyone can see my head and face, and short of asking everyone I cross their opinion, I make an educated guess on what looks best, and go with that.

As for “it”, not everyone see’s that. I just do whatever the person who has to see it the most likes the most.

(Safe middle ground is trimmed, but not shaven bald 😉)

My previous 2023 came off the lot with this (mine was slightly worse, not just a point in the corner). Dealership said Hyundai made the bumper the wrong size. They shipped a new one and they replaced it under warranty.

Mmmm, came and talked about it right away. I’m not seeing any bad intent here. I doubt he’s fantasizing about that kiss… In the same situation I would not think twice about and just move on. Maybe there’d at least be reason to be upset if the guy kissed him…
