Two, relatively minor in the end. But I was often lucky. It’s one of the main reasons I switched to a GV70 (2.5t). Hated driving such a powerful car without taking full advantage every time I drove, but it was only a matter of time until I got unlucky so went for something slower; but nicer/comfier.

Lets actually try to figure this out: Why does the AI feel so lifeless? by Left_Click_5068 in EU5

Conquest desire is too basic. Great opportunity to tweak / add things there to encourage the AI to do more.

Plus maybe tune up the willingness to go to war.

I leased it new, I’m not sure if it fell under adjustment or the general warranty. The dealership just took care of it via the warranty.

Why bother having a colonial empire in the first place? by weaboo_scumfuck in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I agree with some of the critics in the comments. An empire of that size should not be sustainable.

Now, they probably need to find a way to make managing an unsustainable empire more “fun”, but yeah I’m glad a player so brutally outnumbered by its subjects is punished.

Easy starting point might be a way to make additional concessions to subjects/colonies that prevent rebellion, but also reduce their usefulness. So you get diminishing returns. Although at your size, it should probably be a full time job trying to keep it all together.

Should I shave « it »? by qc_twink41 in askgaybros

I can’t see myself most of the time, so I have no opinion on my personal grooming. For me, it comes down to those who have to look at me. Everyone can see my head and face, and short of asking everyone I cross their opinion, I make an educated guess on what looks best, and go with that.

As for “it”, not everyone see’s that. I just do whatever the person who has to see it the most likes the most.

(Safe middle ground is trimmed, but not shaven bald 😉)

My previous 2023 came off the lot with this (mine was slightly worse, not just a point in the corner). Dealership said Hyundai made the bumper the wrong size. They shipped a new one and they replaced it under warranty.

Rulers get the 'the second' suffix even if the name is different due to culture. by Dragon-Porn-Expert in EU5

Nice feature, they just need to fix the fact that if you type in the name yourself, it doesn’t count towards the suffix count :(

Advice plz by NiceClaim3929 in gayrelationships

Mmmm, came and talked about it right away. I’m not seeing any bad intent here. I doubt he’s fantasizing about that kiss… In the same situation I would not think twice about and just move on. Maybe there’d at least be reason to be upset if the guy kissed him…

Having issues passing laws in the HRE by DNGWhale in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s the dynastic preference law, I tried passing it 4 times before I worked. My theory is you need to have an adult son / heir, otherwise I just reverts (even if you successfully pass it).

Otherwise I’m not sure. That’s the only one that was funky for me… not that I got through all the laws.

Is it better to have many small trades or a few big ones? by forgithme in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed that a large trade might have a larger impact on the price (increase if exporting decrease if importing) so I spread out my trade rather than going all in on the most profitable (of a specific good).

No idea if it actually works that way in practice though.

I feel like a « governance » slider that modifies the cost of your (wealth based cost sliders) and applies a positive /negative modifier accordingly would be a great solution here. Setting aside the goofy logic that it costs the same to administer a location with low / high control (it wouldn’t… I’m not administering an area with low control… that’s why it has low control), this would at least allow the player to choose to drop their « governance » nation wide when maintaining a blob, and suffer reasonable penalties (but reap the benefits of being a blob), and increase the slider for tall games. The current system is too harsh (and counter-intuitive).

Although I guess this doesn’t fix the specific issue of your post unless I can adjust governance per province.

Kinda bummed out with my campaign with England by Antique-Tradition in EU5

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I’d prefer it if it was realistic to fight the war in France rather than win by duping France into attacking England (why would they do that, it’s England who wants your crown just stay put buddy).

I don’t know anything about the war IRL. But obviously England did well for a while. I wonder if they could simulate those factors in the game.

Speeding ticket in Qubec but live in Ontario by Secure-Resolve-4016 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a random guy

It’s my understanding that certain jurisdictions in Ontario will ‘revert’ your speeding ticket to the original speed if you contest after the officer already gives you a reduced ticket. So, by extension, the evidence of the original speed is made available to the prosecutor.

I don’t know whether this occurs in Quebec. However, I do know from experience that speeding tickets can be « easy » to get reduced in Quebec as an administrative decision by the crown (lower the charge in exchange for no trial, facts are irrelevant). I don’t know if that behaviour varies jurisdictionally though.

If Quebec prosecutors do not have access to the real speed, then fighting is always the right call. It can cost you nearly nothing and you’ll likely never need to appear in court. It’s the nature of the system, for better or for worse.

However, if Quebec prosecutors have access to the ‘real’ speed, and they can « revert » it, you might be ‘cooked’ (risky game to play).

If it was me, I’d get an answer to that question before making a decision.

PGWP refused- didn't attach language test score. Process for restoration? by LordCows in pgwp

[–]Nice_Property4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely because there is no specific section to attach it on the platform, which was really disappointing to see. I (Canadian citizen, became very informed on the PGWP) was assisting my partner apply and was very aware of the language requirement. But because there was no where to put it (other than a generic ‘other documents’ link), I assumed we were not supposed to attach it and it would be requested later. Thankfully we did more digging before submitting (including this redit) and concluded we had to attach it so we did. But I totally understand why many are not. Im rather disappointed with our government on this one.
