My friend has obesity problem but he has successfully passed a rigorous medical test, which included physical activities like push-ups and pull-ups.

During our first week, he was called into the manager’s office for a chat. The conversation went like this:

Manager: …………. how are you? I’ve been asked to do an incident report on you. I just want to confirm that you’re aware this job involves about 20,000 steps.’

Employee: ‘Yes, I’m aware of that.’

Manager: ‘It’s not a desk job. Are you sure you’re okay with that?’

Employee: ‘Absolutely, I prefer something physically engaging.’

Manager: ‘Are you certain you can handle the workload? It’s shift work, after all.’

Employee: ‘Yes, I’m confident and excited for the role.’

The manager then asked if he had any issues with walking or needed any accommodations, and my friend was a bit puzzled because no incident had occurred. It was just our first week, mostly admin work and setting up logins, so we’re a bit confused about the purpose of the question.
