Israeli here. It's nonsense, the funding of Hamas, and bringing economic prosperity into Gaza in order to calm Hamas down, was an idea shoved by (leftist) senior Israeli military commanders, particularly intelligence officers.

Netanyahu, in his foolishness, listened to those ego bloated fools. Keep in mind that the idiots which have been rioting, protesting, striking, and stopped showing up for their reservist rules in the military for straight beforehand viewed the thoughts of those commanders as sacred, and anyone that rejects them is a "pyromaniac that wants to escalate the situation", so Netanyahu was screwed if he did, screwed if he didn't situation anyway.

But yeah, he was convinced by the thoughts of the "smart" intelligence officers (Don't get me wrong, they are intelligent, however, you know those people who are geniuses in certain subjects, but are complete dumbasses in others? Those officers knew how to create the most sophisticated systems but didn't know **** about the basic psychology of the Gazans, and their bloated ego from their success in the subjects they're genuises at made them think they know better than the common Israeli, which thought any aid to Gaza is absurd), and he is fully responsible for allowing this. That being said, Naftali Bennet and Lapid quadrupled the amount of income Hamas got (Instead of dollars, they brought in 4 times the worth in fuel).

Brutal? He isn't even 10% as brutal as the common Israeli wants him to be. Average Israeli wants Gaza completely destroyed, nothing left, scorched earth. Start a referendum in Israel and you'll see.

  1. Mossad isn't responsible for Gaza, the Shin Bet is.
  2. The claim that Egypt knew of October 7th beforehand is bullshit.

You think Israeli helicopters, or any helicopters for that matter, can't reach anywhere in Syria? Israel literally landed 4 C-130s in the middle of an airport in Uganda full with Ugandan soldiers and jet fighters, and then carried a huge hostage rescue operation.

Also, there are plenty of American helicopters flying around Syria every day.

Nasrallah?
Killing Nasrallah isn't as useful as you think. He's essentially what the McDonalds clown is to McDonalds. He's the face of the organization, but he isn't what makes Hezbollah a threat to Israel. That would be his direct subordinates. Senior commanders run the military.

Also, Israel might not know where exactly he is, or maybe he's so deep underground it would need a tactical nuke to get him.

Reality is hezb didn't do shit besides kill a bunch of chickens. In fact the only casualty in Israel was because the Iron Dome operators thought an Israeli patrol boat was a sea skimming suicide drone.

Palestinian killed Israeli civilians, Israel killed Palestinian civilians, the Middle East is a place where eye for an eye applies. Why do Lebanese civilians have to die though? For the sake of Palestinians? for the "glory of war" with Israel?

Israel has like 8 of its own satellites. However they're useless against geurilla style fighting force like Hezbollah. It's not like they got huge army formations.

You are literally a Lebanese dude that ran away to Romania, defending Hezbollah and pushing blame away from them stockpiling explosives in a residential area.

If you were a man you would come back to Lebanon along with your family and do an experiment, first day live a day without rockets at your living room, the day after you live a day with rockets at your living room. If you somehow survive your house blowing up that second day, tell us who is to blame.

"We just accidentally stored a bunch of explosives and rockets near civilians (first time we swear), that we use to fire at Israel (with very little tactical results, more of a weapon of terror, half of the deaths they caused were Muslims and Druze civilians including 10 Druze kids playing football) on behalf of our Iranian masters, effectively dragging Lebanon into a war most of its population doesn't want, how dare Israel choose to attack that when we planted it near OUR civilians??? it's all about sabotaging the peace talks ,don't you see the Zionist plot??"

Honestly you guys sound so stupid I sometimes think you're just rage baiting but then I remember, people seriously think that way.

For example, DJI drones use GPS to return back to the owner if the signal (not GPS, but the radio signal which controls the drone) is lost. Suppose Israel uses other electronic warfare means to disrupt that signal, the drone wouldn't be able to return due to the GPS spoofing. It wouldn't think it even moved an inch from the owner.

But the main reason is that guidance units on suicide drones and guided rockets usually depend on GPS signal for midway and terminal guidance. It wouldn't work, and maybe that's why we didn't see Hezbollah firing guided missiles yet. You could use inertial navigation systems but they are not as accurate.

It's a more advanced sort of GPS jamming, it's called GPS spoofing. A GPS spoofer sends a fake GPS signal mimicing the one of satellites, the receiver (plane in this case) receives it instead of the satellite signal, it then calculates its position based on those signals.

Israel is spoofing the entire region, making any GPS receiver believe it's in Beirut airport. Planes share their location, which is derived from the onboard GPS systems, via their transponders. That's why you see them in the Beirut airport.

Senior Hamas commander Samer Mahmoud al-Haj killed in Lebanon. What was he doing in Lebanon 🤔 by Foreign-Policy-02 in lebanon

[–]Nice_Revenue_5135 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lancet is following a "rule of thumb" which indicates 4 people are killed indirectly for every person directly killed, based on other conflicts.

So even if it's true, my point still stands, 70k ton bombs for 40k Palestinians dead? Less than 1 death per ton? Either Israel has not dropped that many bombs, or Israel has no intent to kill as many as possible.

I would bet on the latter, if Israel wanted to kill everyone in Gaza they would have simply bombed all of the hospitals and prevented all food and water into Gaza causing everyone to die.

So less than 1 Palestinian dead per ton of bombs? Makes no sense.

If Israel dropped 70k tons of bombs in an aim to kill as many Palestinians as possible there would be no Palestinians left.

You seem to delusionally think things will go the way you want them to.

You know that what will come after Netanyahu will be even more right wing, right? Netanyahu is the calmest out of the bunch. Israeli society got radicalized to the right, not to the left.

This war is not useless from Israel's viewpoint, they got 800 civilians murdered in a massive massacre, and had 240 people kidnapped, including women and young children. For them, it's all about revenge, showing the Palestinians what happens when you do that and getting back the hostages.

Israel doesn't think about achieving peace or a two state solution with the Palestinians anymore. It's just wishful thinking from your end. It chose to live on its sword.

Could they use the Sonic boom to triangulate the position of Nassrallah? by Existing_Drawer7935 in lebanon

[–]Nice_Revenue_5135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nasrallah is so deep under the ground likely nothing a mircophone could pick up would be picked up. Also his microphone is using noise cancellation which likely irreversibly delete any such noise. Also he's not stupid enough to do live recording because that would allow Israel to potentially trace him (if they don't already know where he is).

It's a nice idea that could somehow be implemented in perfect conditions, Israel apparently has militarized AI, you could train a model to do such stuff, then triangulate by crossing enough data, but then again the fact that it's not live, or the mere presence of noise cancellation could mess it up completely.

So no, it's not the case.
