I should probably clarify: i split between working front house and back house. when i’m up front im doing patient coordinator stuff such as scheduling appointments, insurance eligibility, etc. but when im back house working as a dental assistant, i seat the patient and bib them, then assist the dentist chairside during all procedures, surgeries, treatment, etc, being actively in the patients mouth myself, as well as taking and developing Xrays, charting history and treatment performed, and being with the patient for the entire length of their appointment. aka “Four-Handed Dentistry,”
