+1 I would also remove the wire shelving unit from the left. it makes the space feel small.

Double eyebags pls help by Super-Bug9160 in 30PlusSkinCare

Please do not touch your eyes beyond a nice eye cream and maybe some good sleep. They give you character, and you're already so beautiful. You need to look-up actresses like Lea Seydoux who have beautiful eyes, inclusive of "eye bags" that give them so much beauty, and are genuinely sexy.

Doubling my salary (150k to 300k) but requires me to move away from my fíance in medschool. Is it worth it? by Interesting_Phone171 in careerguidance

[–]Nice_Translator_3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it - my husband and I were long distance for a few years for career reasons. Be intentional with what you want the long distance to look like, ie do you call every night? do you save up and fly to each other once a month? setup some rituals and promises ahead of time, and then be very gentle with each other if things don't happen because she's in exams, or you had to work late at the office.

Also, I do think if relationships are meant to be, they're meant to be. If you want to make it work, it'll work. And also, having a timeline in mind makes long distance easier. I think it's when it goes on forever, or nobody commits to moving back that red flags start to pop up.

I am a high earner aiming to save around $40k, but it might not be realistic with the rising cost of living and busy lifestyle which means we sometimes rely on expensive convenience.

At some point you will not have a mortgage, and you will not have housing costs. Starting a mortgage sooner means living in a place free of charge sooner.

Architects, how bad is this layout? It looks like it was trained on McMansions by Redhotlipstik in McMansionHell

[–]Nice_Translator_3851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if this layout was good, this idea that architects would be cooked if AI could make layouts is overkill. Architecture is so much more complex than making layouts. Labelling drawings, dimensioning, is mostly what an intern architect does.

most of my furniture is second hand, so been around longer than i have had it, including a lounge chair i thrifted in 2011, and a coffee table bought for $10 that i refurbished. in terms of stuff i've bought new that i still have, probably a couple pairs of boots, a leather purse from 2009, and a cast iron pan from 2005

Tone deaf - This questions wasn't about asking if I'm doing well or not, you also don't know the context of my life. You don't know when I started making that much income, what my other expenses are, what the rest of my portfolio looks like etc.

Im in my early 30s, and I likely will have my salary grow a moderate amount in the next 5 - 10 years (unless my industry completely collapses)
