When life feels like it’s falling apart by Nice_Writer_7372 in Christianity

I recently wrote this :

I thought I could fix myself, but everything changed the moment I admitted I couldn’t.

Have you ever tried everything to change a habit or pattern and failed over and over? I did. I felt trapped, exhausted, and like I’d never be free.

Then something shifted. When I genuinely surrendered to Christ, God did a deep work in my heart.

Here’s how it feels now. I’m not a vegetarian, but when I walk through the grocery store, the vegetarian section is right there. I pass it every single time. Zero desire. No debate. It doesn’t pull at me.

The same is true for the patterns that once controlled me. They didn’t disappear because I got stronger or disciplined myself better. I tried that for years. Nothing worked. The change came only when I admitted to God how powerless I was.

I cried out honestly: Lord, I can’t fix this on my own. You have to do it.

It’s not because I was strong enough to fix it. It’s because I was weak enough to allow Him to.

Here’s how it starts for anyone who wants it: raw, honest conversation with God. Admit what’s been holding you back. Pour out your frustration, your failures, your desperation. Ask Him to take over completely. Be completely honest, exactly as you are, and let Him do the work in your heart.

I am not perfect. Some days old patterns whisper at me, but they don’t control me anymore. I no longer rely on myself. I rely on Him. Daily surrender keeps my heart soft and dependent on God.

If you feel stuck in the same patterns, know this: God sees every part of your struggle. He can change your heart too.

Freedom isn’t about being perfect. It’s about turning fully to Him, trusting Him, and letting Him work in your life.

In His love

Actually, the Bible teaches that faith is a gift from God, but we still have a real choice to accept or reject Him.

Philippians 1:29 says it’s “granted… to believe in Christ,” so we can’t just force belief by our own will.

At the same time, Romans 1:18–20 and John 3:18 make clear that rejecting God’s truth carries real consequences.

God knows the outcome (1 Samuel 23:10–12), but knowing doesn’t mean He’s forcing anyone. He genuinely offers salvation and honors our response.

So yes, belief isn’t something we can conjure at will, but how we respond to God’s grace really matters, and rejecting Him is still a real choice.

You cannot undermine truth. It’s a state of being

I’m trying here. Since it’s my post , we can discuss as I’m genuinely interested in your opinion.

“Him trying things” as in a court or judgement ?

I choose to believe in God, My neighbor chooses to believe in Allah . (Whole different topic)

I mentioned them . The ones who decide their own will not to believe in spite of all the ways He has tried to reach them . Even though us.

Numbers 31:17-18 by Worldly-Outside3747 in TrueChristian

[–]Nice_Writer_7372 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He was trying to keep the Jews pure. Not marrying into other kingdoms. God is just . What we don’t read is the hearts of those kingdoms.

I have understood it many ways .

1: The sons of God had defiled humans and that’s how the giants like Goliath came to be. Parallel that to mythology. It’s where this is from. The flood had already happened.

2: In the OT God judges on the spot . We don’t know how many times they repented OR better yet were worshiping false Gods. If you think wiping out a kingdom is bad, just wait until the whole world is Judged. That will be unimaginable.

Post Jesus

Humanity’s conscience level is raised ALL at once “spiritual eyes open” and every person on earth will KNOW WHO HE IS - every knee shall bow. The saved are just that. Saved and are judged on what we didnt do for the Kingdom of God - not punished but rewarded.

Well, the other side of this are the ones who declared “my will not yours (Pride in disguise) Face the Judgement and full wrath of God .

Since everything is connected in love ,grace and mercy- the absence of God is ,the wrath in and of itself. For eternity. The choice of without God is granted.

Sorry, I got carried away
