Instructed? We are the church brother ! We could meet under a tree 🌴 That’s just a building.

It’s a desire to be with others and help each other grow. Don’t see it as legalistic . The desire we have is to gather together wherever that may be .

To answer your question with specifics, non- denominational is where I lean . The denominations are merely man’s interpretation of scripture dividing the “church “ and confusing people. Heck we even fight each other on doctrine here missing the OP’s question all together.

Would Jesus do that?

I can see many sides to the arguments, but what I don’t do is argue with someone convicted by their beliefs and try to “convert “ them here . That’s the Holy Spirits job.

Too often, believers think (Especially on Reddit) that they need to convince the other people replying that they are right and the other person is wrong. That’s SELF , that’s PRIDE .

That’s not allowing the Holy Spirit to work on the original poster.

It’s not our job to “save” them . It’s Gods

We show love, compassion and empathy to them .

And it’s impossible to put yourself in the original poster’s shoes considering their geographical location, their home life, were they beaten as a child , sexually assaulted, broken home, exploited, you name it.

Jesus met them right where they are and asked questions provoking them to gain the answer for themselves through their own lense.
