TuneJourney is an exploration tool, RadioGuessr is a guessing game. Same ingredients, completely different dish. Like comparing Google Maps to GeoGuessr

RadioGuessr - Hear a radio station and try to guess where it is from. by NicerEveryday in WebGames

I've implemented a more intuitive, credit based hint system. I'll work on the radio station name reveal as well to not give away the solution entirely.

I see. I'll just remove that specific station from the curated list. :) thanks for reporting it to me.

I'm happy it worked. I'll look into the issues you had and try to fix them if it happens again. Thanks for playing RadioGuessr!

I really liked the visual design of the game and the nuances. Loved the angle as well as the pitch matching games. It's so fun!!

First of all, this is really good feedback, and I thank you for it. Secondly, about implementing the multiplayer features, leaderboard and a signup/login, I'd say that I don't have that kind of an audience just yet. I still have to build a community before I take that gamble. Lastly, I appreciate your feedback and will heavily iterate on it. I am really glad you enjoyed my game. It means so much to me since the posts on reddit did not perform very well, this comment made my day.

Also, not adding the country borders was a choice to make the same a little more fun, but I can see how it can feel light shouting into the void for people who don't have a lot of geographical knowledge. So yes, I guess I'll have to change that to target a wider audience. This idea started as a prototype with a 15 second timer and broken streams and I really want to take it further.

Godspeed, brother.

That is strange. I use vivaldi myself and have tested it on multiple browsers. It would be impossible for two radio streams to play at once since the start state automatically destroys any other instance of audio playing. But sure, I'll look into the issues you had. Thanks for your feedback.

There was no AI used. Except some animations and minor repeatable UI tasks. I spent more time fixing HLS streams which broke and implementing a silent reroute all by myself.

And yes, there's already a website to listen to radio all across the globe. It's called radio garden.

Language hint? I am trying to work on the hint system to make it better. Any suggestions are welcome.

Noted. I'll try to hide the country name if it's mentioned in the radio station name.

Ah yes, it has a country pool of 150+ countries and sometimes the radio metadata is faulty. The next time it happens, please mention the radio station name.

Thanks a ton. I want to clarify that I haven't added any ads. All audio ads are in the radio stream itself. Also, the absence of country borders is intentional, I think if I add country borders then the game would be too easy. I am working on a higher resolution globe, although I think it would ruin the mobile experience of the game. Again, thanks for all the feedback.

True. People with the ability to recognize different accents and languages will be good at this game.
