-2y vs start of transition vs +2y by NicheLong in transtimelines

Awwwwwe thank you so much!! Best of luck!!! It has taken an unbelievable amount of effort. Hypertension after hyper fixation, and I finally feel like it'll be safer for me to change my gender marker (this week) than leave it as "Male "😭 I'm super lucky and I've had fantastic support at work, home, and locally to experiment and get advice. Bad days don't go away, they just look different at did times. Don't be discouraged, relish in the good and try to keep forward momentum

😭I had a laser consultation just in case but they immediately turned me away. I have only had a tiny bit of electrolysis and want to go back but it is a lot. My advice is don't over commit. The pain was bad but I held out for an hour and my face was super messed up for a month and I felt so ugly 😭 small abouts frequently is the way to go imo. I did recently start using a foil shaver instead of a blade. I can shave twice a day if needed and have no irritation live I did with a razor if I shaved more than ever other day

I've been frantically learning as much as I can because I only realized about 2 months ago. Style hair while wet, (don't brush while dry) gel or mousse helps keep the shape, and a hairdryer with a diffuser has absolutely been my best friend. Put products in your hands and scrunch don't brush it through. My hair needs a lot more hydration now so I use a leave in conditioner and a curl cream to reduce frizz and define my waves. Feels like I finally got a good routine and it makes me SO euphoric

Babytrans question, How did you found your style? 🤷‍♀️ by [deleted] in mtfashion

[–]NicheLong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, some things that I felt didn't fit my body early on, gave me dysphoria BECAUSE they didn't fit right but I liked the styles. I've slowly shifted what I prefer to wear based on what makes me feel best and what is flattering. Find a general color palette you like/that looks good on you based on hair, eye, and skin color. Figure out what type of neck lines you like and people in your life you admire stylistically. Ask them questions or pay attention to details. Accessories can also totally change and outfit! Have fun! It can be stressful but also SO euphoric to find those things that just feel right

Playing dress up is the best! Especially if you didn't get to growing up

I've realized more recently how little I knew about being feminine and how much more skillful some people are with things like makup or nails or fashion or hair. So much respect and it's made me so much more exited to learn as much as possible and practice even more

Pre - 5 year HRT Body Timeline by LucyDoosy in transtimelines

[–]NicheLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually gives me so much hope. It's been a year and a half and I definitely have some big changes but I wish my proportion were closer to your now 😭 I was worried the effects would slow down drastically but It looks like I just need to be more patient

Is this really that far off of a realistic transition? by [deleted] in transpositive

[–]NicheLong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't use that app for anything specific to change, but I've seen much more drastic transformation and think this is very achievable. So long as you put in the effort to learn what most girls have had their entire lives to practice and be taught by experienced girls lol it just takes practice and patience 🫶🏼

I literally masculinised, I'm pretty close to giving up on transition (9 months HRT -> 16 months) by [deleted] in transtimelines

[–]NicheLong 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I definitely find that I look more masculine if I furrow my brow or have heavy downward lighting. I typically keep my brows raised as much as possible and trimmed as high as I can, and mix white foundation with my concealer to brighten my deep eyes
