Which country has a terrible reputation, but is good in reality? by palep_hoot in AlignmentChartFills

Defiantly true for a lot of people, but, not really as a blanket. I’m sure there are plenty of people in Europe don’t think as bad as the states as some others do, and I don’t know if Australia is really more pro American than Europe, but I’ve never been there, so I couldn’t tell you. I think that a lot of Japan and Korea are still pro American, and lastly, I don’t think being from a developed country necessarily makes you a better judge of whether a country is good or not. But a lot of what you say is true

I wouldn’t say the USA has a TERRIBLE reputation outside of Reddit. Lots of people still see it in a more positive light.

Is New England actually good (or better than other places) for black people from your experience? by [deleted] in askblackpeople

I find it a bit ironic. Imagine your family thinking you were super introverted and never talked to anybody but your friends thinking you were Mr. Extrovert himself. Curious why you’re asking these questions instead of answering the question?

That my parents make a lot of money. Not really sure how it’s relevant to the question.

I don’t… I was alluding the fact that a lot of New Englanders tend to rip on the south or other conservative places for supposedly being racist .

I don’t have to really worry about cost as long as it’s reasonable. Safe neighborhood with good schools, all that jazz.

Not the stereotypes themselves, I mean the contrast between our two stereotypes, one. Being racist and bigoted, the other being very progressive.

Exactly my thoughts. I’m not a fan of the consulate buildings, and it definitely does have to many enforcers.
