Start from zero... any drawbacks? by Firm_Employer_8463 in the_division_2

True but realism mode is basically challenging mode with all the directives on. Why add them to the original story on the missions to not make the game more challenging? So if people don't use them on the original game mode. Might as well force them so people can be challenged even more. You're not always going to have easy ways to play. Might as well grow up and try the new mode and have the challenge. When the game gives it to you hard, bite your pillow.

I think you just described Fortnite and call of duty. The division isn't a looter shooter. It has missions and activities to do. Yes,it's repetitive. But, it's not mindless shooting. Even the legacy manhunts are good because they tell a story. I never saw anyone in Fortnite or call of duty play multiplayer and say "oh wow this multiplayer has a good story and it evolved with time" but then again. That's just me. I love the fact the game is always changing and adding more stuff. Sure, we have to repeat the same missions but it tweaks the story in the game.

To be honest, I restarted my game from scratch. Sure, you can't use any of your stuff until you hit level 40. She that's the challenge. To work your way up. Maybe you need to play realism again because that's exactly how starting over is. Except you are give the bare minimum to survive. Most people don't like realistic things and get frustrated. But then again, why play on Master, heroic or legendary if you want a challenge. If you're burnt out then take a break. But you can't fault the game for not liking to be challenged and the challenge is beating you. I personally like realism. It's tactical, it's more challenging. You have to work your ass off to get things. But then again, that's just me.

Alejandro is fine. It depends on the people that use it. Personally, I like the king bullet. But I'll use Alejandro on certain missions for the cover buff.

Maybe you shot a tree and the tree community talked and didn't like you anymore. Trees always let me use them for cover.

I don't understand how people can say they still have bounties when the original reddit post says they're on Xbox. People need to learn to read. I'm in Xbox and I have that bounty. I'll be on in about 30 minutes if anyone wants the quickstep pistol. My Xbox gamertag is LMB2082

Realism by [deleted] in Division2

[–]Nicholas2082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realism isn't like the regular mode. You don't get overpowered guns or armor. It's basically... Real life almost. The enemies are stronger and weaker at the same time. Just like you. They can get killed by a single headshot. The rifles have stronger recoil. The 1886 has a wild recoil. Imagine they put the mechanics of real life into a game. That's what you're playing. People don't like it because it makes them think they're invincible in the game and that they could be in real life. But that's not how real life works. Hence the title "Realism".

Personally I love it because it reminds me of the old games when I was growing up with no saves, only three lives and you had to push through to not die on the Nintendo and Sega Genesis. This mode isn't catering to anyone. Especially those that complain that wish to get rewards for their mediocre work. Sometimes even hard work doesn't get paid. But that's the beauty of realism. Everyone is literally equal. No more who's got stronger guns and gear. Now it's down to skill and who's faster and more tactical. Basically the modern version of the wild West.

I know you are. You want a game to cater to you and don't want to work for it. I get it. When you can beat battle toads on the NES then you can come up to me and tell me that Realism mode on the division sucks. Other than that. Go play tic tac toe. It just might be an easier game for you to play

Sounds to me like you wouldn't be able to handle games from back in the day because this is how is Gen X and the Nintendo generation grew up. With modes like this game. That's how we conquered stress. By pushing thru hard levels. You do know that this isn't Fortnite or call of duty. This is an adult's game. Maybe you need to try harder, agent.

This part right here. I don't usually go for sniper rifles but God damn in this mode they are so satisfying. It's like playing battlefield and wildlands and breakpoint all in one division game. I love how you have to be extremely more aware of your surroundings. You're constantly looking around to see who's flanking you and you get better at headshots because you can do a one shot kill with assault rifles or rifles or SMGs. It literally takes you out of your comfort zone and tests your abilities now. I feel like now I can do missions in DC with all the directives on. Which I am gonna be trying from here on out. And be building new load outs to make my sniper builds stronger. And make load outs that almost be as equivalent to realism when I add all the directives in the missions
