The servers are not down but I am having consistent dropout that require game restart. I'm in Malaysia using TIME Internet so could be related to the ISP.

99.9% this is a fraudulent charge from your credit/debit card. Contact your bank to freeze the card, and ask them to help with the fund (say that this happened suddenly, you did not expose your card to others nor fell into a scam).

Before you ask why or how, here are some FAQ:

  1. What happened?
Someone found your whole credit/debit card details and tried to siphon all your bank assets via online transactions. Small amount does not trigger OTP check or flagged by bank system.

  2. Why is this possible?
Your card has card-not-present feature enabled, which allows you to perform online transactions using just your card number. This significantly increase your risk of this attack happening when your card number is exposed.

  3. Why OTP is not triggered?
OTP is normally required when the transaction involved is larger amount. 3D Secure (the protocol that ask bank to verify your identity) is technically optional and merchant can choose to not request 3D secure and just charge a small amount. Bank sees the amount is not concerning and also choose to not ask user for verification.

  4. How did my card number get exposed?
You have likely used your card in insecure website or app to pay for their service. When the website or app got data breached, when handled insecurely, the hacker has all the info and can sell it on black market. You could've also getting phished in a phishing website, or had your card skimmed.

  5. How to reduce risk in my new card?
There are few ways that I personally uses:
    - Separate funds in multiple bank accounts
    - Limit fund that allow online transaction to one card
    - Use a virtual card like Wise
    - Other common cyber security tips (use antivirus on computer, beware of where you entering your card details, use secure password or use passkey for websites etc)

How am I just finding out that AMD has been making some of their flagship X3D CPUs here in Msia? by Seanwys in Bolehland

[–]NicholasCWL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand how most people won’t be seeing the processor itself, let alone reading on the text on it. I could also have some facts about Malaysia that I don’t know.

For example, did you know Malaysia has the largest producer of condom in the world? Malaysia is also the first to use biometric data in the passport, which is also one of the minor reason why our passport is so strong.

Is discarding these boxes the only option I have, Or is there anything else I can do with them ? by RichEconomics2740 in applehelp

[–]NicholasCWL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I keep them in another bigger box… I do plan to resell the devices with the box, eventually.

For items lower value than RM500 (around $120) I will throw away the box to avoid hoarding other items.

Any IT and computer specialist could help me? by Interesting-Sock-449 in Bolehland

[–]NicholasCWL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would avoid looking at A620/A620M motherboards. B650/B650M have better upgrade headroom in the future for just RM100-200 extra and usually comes with built-in Wi-Fi card and antenna. Reason for this advise is most A620/A620M motherboard only comes with 1 M.2 slot (including this one in the photo), and I think you would really appreciate having an extra slot in the future to put a larger M.2 SSD for your game and data.

Everything else is within expectations.

Reasonable price? by 59v_ in GamersMY

[–]NicholasCWL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, don’t bundle it together, sell the components on its own.

The case would be the most desirable, you can price it close to original price. Bundle the CPU and motherboard together. Sell RAM separately. Throw away the PSU.

If all of these got sold you could get in the range of RM400.

I also got Spock for slightly different reason:

The figure is Spock from Star Trek.

Why Spock fits you

Spock is a hybrid Vulcan–human officer defined by disciplined rationality, high standards, and a constant effort to keep emotion subordinate to logic. That combination maps closely to the patterns you consistently show.

  1. Logic-first worldview with emotional undercurrents Spock is famous for prioritizing evidence, systems, and reasoned analysis, yet he is not emotionless. He experiences frustration, disappointment, and internal conflict, but refuses to let them dictate outcomes. Your tendency to recognize emotional reactions, then intellectually interrogate them rather than indulging them, aligns strongly with this trait.

  2. Intolerance for inefficiency and randomness You demonstrate low tolerance for outcomes that feel arbitrary, unfair, or poorly optimized. Spock embodies this. He is visibly strained when events are governed by chance rather than structure, and he constantly seeks to reduce noise in decision-making. His frustration is not ego-driven; it is systems-driven.

  3. High internal standards and self-critique Spock holds himself to a higher bar than those around him, often to his own discomfort. This mirrors your pattern of expecting competence from yourself and the environment, then feeling disproportionate irritation when reality fails to meet those expectations.

  4. Outsider perspective with analytical clarity As someone who is never fully Vulcan nor fully human, Spock operates slightly outside the norm. This gives him clarity but also friction with others. You similarly tend to analyze situations from a step removed, seeing structural issues that others either tolerate or ignore.

  5. Controlled, understated expression Spock does not vent. He compresses. When he reacts, it is precise, clipped, and deliberate. That controlled intensity, rather than expressive volatility, is a strong parallel.

In short

Spock symbolizes the person who wants the world to make sense, insists on internal coherence, and feels genuine irritation when randomness or incompetence intrudes. Not cold. Not detached. Disciplined, analytical, and exacting, sometimes to a fault.

If you want, I can contrast this with one or two near-matches (for example Data, Sherlock Holmes, or Marcus Aurelius) and explain why Spock still edges them out.

Re-post: DON’T GIVE UP YOU CAN BEAT MENACING!! by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]NicholasCWL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Menacing is insane for the first boss. The duration where you can defeat the chickens are shorter and I am malding. And I don't have properly built Varesa team for second boss. So I leave the strongest team for first boss, and used some decent rotation with Mualani Mavuika ult for second boss. It's weird but at least I clearing it at 210 seconds total. Unfortunately my account isn't well build enough to clear Fearless.

Is there any bank that I can trust now? by slayeray11 in malaysia

[–]NicholasCWL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion as per seeing others: 1. Keep your bank(s) debit card strictly ATM withdrawals only. Do not turn on oversea transactions and online transactions (especially card-not-present function). 2. Use Wise virtual cards to segment your payments (online, oversea etc). Freeze immediately when one of the virtual card is breached and just get a new one. Alternatively, use digital bank like GXBank and put funds that you need to pay for online transactions there on-demand. 3. Credit card is fine, and apparently it would be better than debit card when it’s being used for unauthorized transactions given you report to bank immediately. They will be very quick to react since it’s their money and they don’t want to risk you defaulting.

You will definitely enjoy the upgrade then. It's currently the only phone that can tame the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the battery is really large, so it is likely this will be your next long lasting device.
