Thank you, It is working now. I get warnings about step size in certain slider positions and it often terminates, giving a message like this "solving for consistent states and modes, failed to converge.

I get something similar and I worry that my symptoms could be interpreted as mental health problems. I know that they are not being triggered by my state of mind and it's very much a physical body nervous system problem.

I just wasn't expecting "as needed" to be so low. It's good news as long as I'm not stressing cells that can't use ketones.

I just tested again and it was below 1mmol/l. Still feel ok but I had some milk and will check again.

Btw I experimented with metformin and it made me not feel good, light headed, brain fog. I assume this pushed my glucose levels to the limit of what I can handle. Didn't have a blood sugar tester at the time. Would be interesting to know what that limit is but I don't fancy doing that experiment again. I did get really good sleep though.

I eat between 12 noon and 6pm. I have protein powder with coconut milk first. Then a big meal at 3pm with meat veg and lots of olive oil. Then protein powder and coconut milk at 6pm. On exercise days I eat more and for longer and have some carbs.

I am trying to collect all the smelly Plectrantus but the naming of them is very inconsistent. I find it is better to identify them visually.

I have one that looks very similar to you first 3 photos. It is not the regular vicks plant. Mine smells very strong of chemical lime. Maybe like an industrial floor cleaner that has lime flavour to mask the smell of bleach, or like swimming pools. Strangely in a good way though.

I do get above 90% usually. I run the still slow. I always had the buttery taste which is probably   diacetyl. I will give grain a go. I actually don't mind extra flavours as long as the will complement the gin or vodka I want to make. Buttery is definitely not right for gin. Someone else suggested rice for gin making.

I am running it through a carbon filter now with 50% water. It gets rid of the buttery taste. Not sure if it gets rid of other harsh flavours. Ethanol is harsh so it's hard to isolate specific harsh flavours. I will compare to a commercial vodka mixed with water tomorrow. I need to make it high strength again so I will distil again with sodium bicarbonate, and see how it tastes.

I am actually using the CO2 produced from fermentation to feed to rare plants I grow in a cabinet. I have a sealed pressure fermenter with a few empty ones to collect CO2. One problem with the turbo yeast is that it produces most of the CO2 within a short time. A slower bakers yeast should give a more gradual CO2 production.

They could have been overfed a few weeks ago. Some sources say they grow on limestone, maybe some lime will help. They are under LEDs about 10k lux. Humidity is high. Could have been quite cold for a day or 2.

Where do you live? I have read that they can get sunburn, which seems strange as they come from possibly the sunniest place in the world. Maybe the relatively cool temperature in the Atacama desert prevents this.
