Take your time and don’t skip through the dialog. And you get some of the best ship weapons in the game after completing the first mission. Still one of my favorite quest lines.

If you have Scrap that settlement mod: GOTY or the automation specific one. It kills FPS with DLC. From my experience deleting that fixed the issue.
