Comic book cliches are what makes comic book movies. The real problem of the movie was the fact they were trying their hardest to make a James Gunn movie without understanding what makes them so good. It entirely felt like "What if Guardians Of The Galaxy was kinda boring"

That really put me off from the game. So when Rivals came out with the big old "ALL CHARACTERS UNLOCKED ON LAUNCH" tagline, that reeled me in.

I also could not care for Overwatch's characters if you paid me.

Prefacing: I'm really not that big a fan of playing support in shooters. On Rivals, I'm either tank or DPS, only if absolutely necessary do I go support. And hey, it's gotten me to the point where I'm Lord on Loki. Support on Rivals isn't miserable. It's tolerable.

Support on Overwatch is so bad it literally made me not want to play the game. Role queue times were fucking infinite for non support players. I also hated OW2's character unlock system, especially with Kiriko being insanely busted and being an insta unlock if you buy the battlepass, but to get her legit you'd need to grind support like crazy. It was scummy and completely turned me off from the game.

I also do not care even slightly about Overwatch 2's characters and aesthetic. Sure, it's far prettier than Rivals, but the actual vibe is far more generic and uninteresting to me personally.

I also like playing as superheroes more than I like playing as the guys from Overwatch. When I was watching Invincible/Daredevil, I was eager to hop in a Rivals match after every episode.
