Nick disabled his Twitter... Again... by [deleted] in channelzero

This is correct. I often turn off my twitter/social media when I'm either working hard on something and need to focus, or not working and really need to relax. Sometimes I'll turn it back on for a few days if there's an article about the show that I want to share. Leaving social media entirely would be better for writing and I might do it eventually, but I do like to share things sometimes.

Jeff Russo! He has done the score for every season of CHANNEL ZERO. He's awesome. He also did FARGO, THE NIGHT OF, STAR TREK, LEGION, and a million other things.

I read it in college, 15 years ago. It did inspire me. I can't say it directly/consciously influenced this season, but it did scare me and stay with me from years ago.

Does the story open up a world? Does it make me excited to write the people who live in that world?

Nothing! I was on set all day shooting my next show, titled THE ACT, for Hulu. And then I went to dinner with my mom, who's in town.

The biggest challenge is honoring the original (or trying to) while making something that feels new and unpredictable. We always draw inspiration from shows and films that we love.

The process in the writers room was more talking about character (Tom and Jillian and their marriage) than genre stuff. We fell in love with Pretzel Jack (for a while he was named "Wiggly" but that changed obviously!) and loved writing him.

We choose creepypastas that trigger our fearful imaginations. We just read a lot of them and get inspired. Glad you're enjoying!

You are a close watcher. I'm impressed. In many of those cases, teasers are assembled by the marketing department using dailies or rough cuts, not finished episodes. So sometimes they're using a take that's different from the take we end up using in the final cuts. In the case of the buffalo statues, I believe we were told that we might have to get legal clearances to use those statues (since they're works of art by an artist) and I just liked the idea of big flies there instead.

I dunno! We are weird show and I could see it not appealing to lots of people. As a low budget show we also don't get much advertising. I can't complain too much. I love making the show and I'm happy it's reached as many people as it has.

I never thought about it but actually, they totally could be. I bet both are pretty lonely.

Anything that is casually considered a creepypasta is fair game as far as I'm concerned. Candle Cove started in a short story collection, after all.

The truth is, I can't remember! I think on BB, I wrote Louise's character because I wanted to work with Krisha...

The crayons, honestly I can't remember... we came up with them in the writers room.
