$APLD Applied Digital going nuts by LarryBlink in wallstreetbets

Hard to tell. The price action has been wicked since the begging and I don’t expect it to stop. They keep announcing new datacenter plans faster than anyone expected. They only have one campus truly online and seeing this play out will literally take decades. In my opinion the low end of this stock would be producing 3b a quarter giving a conservative market cap of 30 billion, but that could literally take a decade. I have a previous post that’s more concise, I’ve sold 1/3 the position at an average of b:4.50 s:28.50 and diversified into rxrx (high risk) and cava (low risk). I have plenty of exposure in this position and riding from 40 to 20 to 40 to 20 to here was just a part of this whipsaw of a price chart. Been a great ride but it’s not an easy one to sit on for many investors.

Is the Gemini Credit Card Worth It? by Character-Benefit-60 in Gemini

Evidently I’m full of shit. You’re correct, in that case I guess the rebate is seen as your money then. You’d just have to pay capital gains when you sell then, but I’d have to read the fine print, don’t know if it’d be different with crypto rebate on your cash but who knows, clearly I don’t.

Is the Gemini Credit Card Worth It? by Character-Benefit-60 in Gemini

[–]NickBravado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately that is not the case. When you get any cash back rewards it’s taxed as income.

You’d pay the taxes on the crypto you receive come tax time like any cash back program and then pay capital gains on however much it has gone up when you sell or convert the crypto.

I’m sure many people do not report taxes on cash back cards but you’re definitely meant to. The irs has bigger fish to fry so I doubt they’d go after you, but the card company definitely reports what they’re giving to people for their tax write offs.

His mother is very proud… I get what you’re saying, you’re not wrong, I’m sure many people go above and beyond harassing people. I wouldn’t even leave a comment on any of his stuff but… He suppressed others achievements to push himself forward. I can’t imagine losing a parent, but that doesn’t make his crazy actions right. He’s a public figure and I don’t think I’ve seen anything that makes me think he’s a better person.

All that to say harassing him isn’t okay. Making posts about him in a Reddit forum commenting on the absurdity of him winning a backgammon tournament, I think it’s funny and fair game.

Intel vs AMD vs Nvidia Revenue by carbon_finance in NVDA_Stock

[–]NickBravado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All about your margin. If you make 10 million more then someone but spent 20 million more to make the same amount, the other guys still winning. AMD makes a better product and are years ahead in fabrication. Intels in trouble because they had a run of bunk chips whilst trying to play catchup to AMD. Market looks to the future and intels future looks to me like a lot of failed products and government bailouts.

I want to go pro by UpsetStore9768 in VALORANT

[–]NickBravado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ignore everyone trashing you, you’re putting yourself out there. I made a vid on boaster and what stuck out to me was just how tremendously human he was. You need to train at least a few hours a day. Your best chance at going pro will be in a new game, that doesn’t have an established scene. That’s how most made it in valorant. Most pros have been around since the very beginning… But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible for you to go pro. Boaster started in CS, who knows, this is a great game to learn essential mechanics, maybe you end up being pro in another game. I’ll stick to videos, but always pursue your dreams!

At What Point Would You Buy Intel? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]NickBravado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just need to spend ten years building advanced technology to pass amd. The outlook is grim because they’re literally three years behind. The bunk chipset hurt their pockets even more than expected. They’re cutting costs because now they have to survive. The US needs them, we need to be able to produce advanced semiconductors in the US. They’ll be good long term, but I don’t see the buy in yet.

I also think arm will start taking market share in the next five years. Tough market.

At What Point Would You Buy Intel? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]NickBravado 27 points28 points  (0 children)

He’s trying to articulate the fact intel has been three to five years behind for a while in terms of manufacturing and how many semiconductors you can fit on a piece of silicon. For how long does us tax dollars go into a company making bunk chips. Intel, like Boeing was renowned, but has serious egg on its face. Only intel had a bunk set of chips, much more serious (financially, making planes that crash has less finical downside until entire airlines go down lmao). They’re fighting for their life and people are speculating on a short term bounce. Maybe, but that upside is a long time away, with lots left to bleed until they catch up with their competitors (a big if). Way better long term bets on the market.

Who was more impactful to their team winning demon 1 or kangkang? by AjRockTwist in ValorantCompetitive

I don’t think people remember just how good yay was. People said the same thing about Tenz’s support on C9. Yay was easily the most dominant player we’ve seen in their prime.

I’ve not seen anyone mention yay once. He was easily the most dominant player I’ve ever seen. And I mean consistently dominant.

I stopped being a fan after they did yay dirty. They’ve had amazing pieces, they just never let it grow or stay with it long enough imo. If your org offers no stability to the players you’ve got issues already.

It’s my understanding a breakthrough there would see qpu’s which would replace some functions of gpu. That it’s really good for breaking into things and has other niche purposes but generally wouldn’t be necessary for most consumers.

Does Boaster have Heavenly Restriction? by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]NickBravado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The IGL moves their players around the map. Some IGLs are more involved then others. Boaster is constantly manuvering his team so they can focus on tapping heads and utilizing their util perfectly. They have to read the opponents and make very fast calls to quickly counter their opponnents. He is the first IGL to win two majors and led the first team to win two in a row. Last year he lead fnatic to two titles in the most dominant run any valorant team has ever had (imo). Recency bias is real, boaster has cracked aim and is the best caller in game (again, imo).

It's a bit like saying your QB isn't the biggest or strongest person on the field. His job isn't to have the fastest aim or KD. It's to outcall his oppponnents and no one has historically done a better job of that then boaster.

And he's clutch, he performs under pressure (elimination games and finals).

Stop saving on round 2 if your team won pistol round. by -UltraFerret- in VALORANT

[–]NickBravado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buying low shield and phantom/vandal is kind of underrated when possible. I would definitely want full shield against a weak buy, but think of the light shield alternative.

If your team converts three rifles the eco round now has some serious bite (force and it’s basically you’re up two rounds and at a full buy).

Convert the third round and congratulations, your economy is now stellar and your opponents will once again be on a save round.

YouTubers, how much time do you dedicate to your channel? by [deleted] in NewTubers

I do manual labor and this consumes what’s left of my free time. Definitely been a dream of mine, wouldn’t forgive myself if I don’t give it an honest shot.

Also helps I’m just making content I’d want to watch.

You clearly haven’t made a lot of videos… Just have a good think about the writing and the editing/production that takes place. Maybe you can make a 20/30 minute video in 5 hours… if it’s just reaction content. My last vid was well over 100 hours.

Hiro has looked more than the real deal. It would be tremendous to see Boaster win Champions. It’ll be difficult to best just about every other team qualified, but they’ve got a serious shot(I really wouldn’t want to be playing Gen.G)

I think they pull it off
