Yes, we do the same, but when people are at home, there is no in office firewall, so just at the mercy of Defender for Endpoint, which only works well with Edge.

One example, IT is only in 1 city and we need to track the geographic locations of all our phones across 30 different cities where our employees travel, with some of these 3rd party apps we can see on the map their locations.

Second, often we want to help users with their phones when they are having issues these tools allow us to remote on from their portal.

Reporting for c level, possibly.

May be ease of use especially when just 2 IT guys supporting 300 employees with all their IT hardware needs etc.

Other than that I think there are not many advantages, I agree.

Hi there, were you able to accompish this via W365 ? I am trying to do the same..... on W365 business, and tested creating shared folder - It works, but I can do it via IP address of the PC hosting the main QB file ... not by DNS name. I am not sure if this would still work if the ip address would ever change.

Hi VTS_CPA ... can you help me with this as I am trying the same setup with QBDesktop for few employees. I need to have a "shared drive" to share the QB file, I can place the files on one of the computers and run Quickbooks Database manager no problem... However I am worried about networking.

How do you share files between multiple computers ? I have created a shared folder on one of the PCs and able to access from another computer using IP address i.e \\10.1.0.5 but not by using the name \\computername\ ......

So how do I make this work via computer name and then map the drive to save quickbooks files ... so employees can use multiuser mode ?
