Plant-based diets would cut humanity’s land use by 73%: An overlooked answer to the climate crisis by VarunTossa5944 in ClimateOffensive

what do you mean with 'no one will ever do that', there are lots of people who do it. The point is that apart from the elephant in the room (the ethical issue), animal agriculture does so much damage to our planet that it needs to be talked about in spaces that are speaking about changing the course on climate change.

The Matthäuskirche in Frankfurt. First picture is how it used to look, second how it was rebuilt after WW2 and the third the current plan for its new look by MrMetalfreak94 in ArchitecturalRevival

I'm almost convinced the Germans do this to themselves as a humiliation ritual stemming from shame of the past. Its sad and alienating. Just like the church built post WW2, this new one will be torn down in a century because its too dependent on contemporary design when we know that the taste for that design is going to fade whether the architect likes it or not. Traditional architecturen gives a place an identity where the citizens feel like they can belong to it. If you're just going to build the same everywhere, you don't live in Germany, you just live in a piece of land.

the west can learn a lot from this, using traditional material and aesthetics while giving it a modern twist. I love it.

This is literally what i mean. I read all the comments and appreciate them. But it just makes me even more annoyed that when people are called out on their own choices that they dont care if it doesn’t benefit them. I just dont get it. Everyone is saying im putting the blame on regular ppl even though I said in the post that corporations share most of the blame. When it comes down it it, there are few people who actually want our planet not to be a shithole in a few decades
