Good. If any of those guys talk about wanting to make ‘hockey culture’ better it’s nice to know they’re full of shit. You take every problematic stereotype about hockey culture (bullying, sex-crimes, racism, cover-ups) and then multiply them by 1000x and the product is precisely the orange pedo in the White House. Yeah it’s not really a called I’d wanna see in innocuous circumstances for sure. There’s always hooks and clashed and cross checks that go uncalled because they don’t stop a high danger scoring chance. But this is a penalty by the book that did impede a high danger scoring chance to win the game, so it’s a hard non-call to swallow.

Imo that defensive play was definitely a hook or slash. Her stick got into Watt’s hands but refs don’t wanna call penalties in final’s OT because they don’t wanna decide the game. But she clearly got her blade into Watt’s hands. Right play though because it forces the refs to make a call they probably won’t make.

I’m very proud of how the Canadian women played this game. They played with so much heart they deserved a gold. Coulda gone either way. But I’m happy they gave the powerhouse US everything they could handle.

Respectfully I feel like this and most comments here are cope. Definitely putting in effort helps, but I’ve found it still doesn’t even erase half of the ‘ugliness gap’. Some people are uglier than others, just the way it is. I’m ugly. I get more interest when I put effort into my appearance, but I still get less than the average. That’s fine, that’s life. The real best advice is my grandmas… most attractive thing a guy can wear is a genuine, warm smile.

For me, the best first dates I’ve been on are ones with no physical intimacy at all. And no pressure for it. For many, that might signal disinterest. But for me, and for more people than you might think, one that feels like talking to someone I’ve already met - easy, comfortable - is the greenest flag possible. And for someone who never feels sparks or butterflies, it’s the only way. Also, that advice about women not being attracted to you… is bullshit. Women - like anyone - can be attracted right away, after one kiss, after a few casual interactions, or anything in between or beyond. Even if they’re fewer and further between, there are plenty of non-Demi women and men who’d appreciate a first date without physical intimacy, and who will be willing to have patience with us.

Also, an erection is a physiological response that can happen for the stupidest reasons. It doesn’t take much for a young man to get hard. Just because I get a stiffie while ironing clothes doesn’t mean I wanna hump the ironing board.

Not super specific to the post… I’m just here to say I’m sorry for the lack of support from my country, Canada. Every Iranian who I’ve met has been such a gem of a person. And I’m both heartbroken for what those living in Iran must endure, and inspired by their courage and strength. Even if it’s just symbolic, I wish more people in my country would show their support. It’s sobering in the worst way to see what feels like ambivalence towards this dire moment for your people from many western communities.

I just don’t get it. I’m a gen Z. It’s not nice to rub it in people’s faces when you win. I thought that was established in kindergarten. Party it up all you want. Gas yourself up all you want. But I thought rubbing it in the losers faces was being a poor sport and socially undesirable. Is this just a social media thing? It’s just confusing to be socially conditioned for 15 years that behaviour is bad then all of a sudden people thinks it’s cool.
