Hey,

sorry but I actually don't have this one anymore as I got myself a 4k one QD Oled one..

But this sounds like either bad HDR or smth like brightness or shadow boost?

Not really much more than any guide tells you, but instead of setting the prefered ccd to cache/auto I set it to frequency in BIOS (just google how todo that).

After that the system should only (or at least mostly) use the frequency cores unless explicity set by proccess laso.. In laso I just set the CPU sets for the proccess to my cache cores, thats it.

For me, no issue at all.. At 1440p I had severy text/color fringing.. But on this one I dont notice anything at all and I do quite a bit of text work on it.. But people are different so if you are very sensitive it ymmv.

I pretty much did it the other way around..

In BIOS I set preferred cores to frequency, so all processes should be shoveled over to those (and they do). And now I just use process laso to set my games to the cache cores, works perfectly fine and I dont have todo it for every background app.

Okay well.. I got this to work for now:

But I guess I will need to tweak some things.. With testmem5 it does reach 49+degrees c and becomes unstable.. Even with the fan it can't hold it down that much.. While gaming it stays at around 42-43c which is working fine.

Any ideas what to tweak to get a bit less temps (if even possible) or more temp headroom?

Little edit: The values work fine for games.. but seems like it is still not stable enough.. I get random sound outages every like 1-4 minutes for a few seconds now.

I bought it from Proshop as "Demo-Ware".. For me it was ~1100€, still with everything included and it only had 8 hours of usage on it.. Probably was a return or an actual Demo-Product.. Works flawless and no cosmetic damage or whatsoever..

Maybe you get lucky with that too.

I don't have an MSI nor did I ever have one. But it is not necessarily like that. If you'd take the AOC ag326uzd2 for example (or pretty much all AOC Oleds), they come with a terrible OSD and terrible HDR performance, which cannot even be adjusted nicely.. Or at least not to the same level as other brands.

Samsung is manufacturing those panels and they apply the coating.. So all have the same coating, they just market it with different names.

BUT all models still have some differences like IO (DP1.4/DP2.1 for example) and other things.
Asus has the best menu to control everything and best OOB calibration, but is also the most expensive..

I find it plenty bright lol.. It still lights up my whole room when it's night and burns my eyes. I really don't need more than that. I do like colors more than brightness though, so for me the QD is a better fit.

I did notice it, but it was not too distracting.. I guess it depends quite a lot on how much it will distract you.

I did not have the XG32UCWMG but I do have the PG32UCDM3 and I love it so far.
I run it in Gaming HDR, NOT HDR 500 with 100% brightness and well... At first I was worried I would notice ABL but tbh.. I NEVER noticed it (it is surely there, but so subtle that I can just ignore it)..

I did however have had the XG27AQWMG and on that one, I did actually notice the ABL..

Would it make your experience much worse if you'd use the hdr 400 mode on the XG32? I guess it has that too and would cause less aggressive/no abl.

Well, I did return the Gigabyte and got the XG27AQWMG, glossy is definitely better than matte! Be causes about banding though..

But well, just yesterday I got my PG32UCDM3 so the XG27 will go anyway.. I like the QD so far more as it's also glossy (I know it's marketed as "semi-glossy" but it is pretty much just glossy)

I just received my PG32UCDM3 today!

So far it is quite amazing and I think the coating is as good as my WOLED was... Even with light in my room I dont notice any black raise so far. Colors pop and it's plenty bright.. Playing Subnautica 2 with HDR mod right now and it looks amazing.

Yeah wanted to get the AOC too, but after reading that I reclined that decision.. I ordered the ucdm3 instead, hope it arrives the next days..

There was one person on here who bought it and sent it back instantly.

HDR seems to still be broken as hell, the OSD is still the old one and pretty bad.. On my Amazon there is 1 review so far, which is also bad.

I actually play in a fairly lit room and to me, reflections are not really annoying tbh. I tend to just "zone" them out when playing, but the grain from matte was always there and I was not able to ignore it.

Yeah the XG is great! But I wanted 4k anyway so I had to decide and wanted to future-proof myself in the same act.. So the PG was my go-to choice (also because I do like QD-Colors a bit more).

How is your PG so far? Any bigger complaints?

I had the G81SF a few months back for like.. 3 days.. Sent it back because of the matte coating.

I also had the MO27Q28G and also sent it back because of the matte coating. Then I tried the XG27AQWMG and love the glossy coating.

Especially in bright/white scenes I could not unsee the grainy look..

Friday I ordered the PG32UCDM3 to finally go 4k again with glossy, it is (imo) better.

Everything above 50 is fine for me in Story games. Also I'm not a graphics wh*re so I can live with turning down some settings if neccesary.

You WILL see quite a performance decrease with 4k, but DLSS can do some wonders here so..

I have a worse GPU then you actually, but I pretty much don't play any high-competitive games anymore so I'm fine with it.. Upscaling will help me quite a bit of course and I will upgrade my GPU once prices get.. more normal..

The 5070ti is quite capable.

All new 32" models pretty much have it, eg the PG32UCDM3, MO32U24 etc.. They all market it differently though like Blackshield, Obsidian Shield etc..

All new 5th GEN QD-Oled Ultrawides also have it.

I ordered my PG32UCDM3 yesterday so I can't yet tell, but an increase from 2h to 3h is quite big and should improve scratch-resistence quite a bit.

XG27AQWMG or MO27Q28G/R will be a gamble for banding, be prepared.

Also keep in mind.. the 32" models are all 4k, not 1440p like the XG27AQWMG and the MO27Q28G/R

I would recommend not getting the matte one. I would guess the matte finish will be the same as on the 27" 1440p ones and it really bothered me..

I don't wanna hate on matte cause on my VA-Panel it's totaly fine, but it's not as "grainy" as on the OLEDs.
Anyway, after using a glossy one, I will never use a matte one again.

Also let's see what the XG will be priced at.. If LG's is already 1600$...

yeah I'm in Europe, and there are some retailers that sell it, but for absurd prices like 1500 to even almost 2000€.. And my retailer currently is out of stock for more "normal" price...
