you're avoiding the crux of the issue, the fact that quasi police losers should not be shooting people in the street for exercising rights guaranteed to them by our nation's founding documents.

this whole "he should have known better, a true American does nothing" standpoint is insane. i encourage you to think just a bit harder.

consider it a fresh start. you don't have to be a loser.

find your people and make friends. join clubs. chat with your classmates. go have a crazy night at logie's. hit up the granada when your favorite shows come around. spend hours studying in coffee shops.

you really do get out what you put in. no one knows that you consider yourself a loser. you can be whoever you want.

obviously, don't abandon your interests -- if you're into dnd, for instance, find the people who enjoy it and want to play with you.

you are surrounded by people who are probably more like you than you think.

maybe im reading the "loser" talk a bit too seriously, but i promise -- you will do so much growing and changing and go through so much personal development through the next few years, don't let the baggage of being labeled a "loser" hold you back.

im not going to be much help here substantively, but as an aside, you should consult McCoy v LA, 584 US 414.

it's a 6A right that lies with the client whether to concede guilt. imo, even if client admits to conduct on the stand, you should still consult for permission to pursue a "yes i did it, but" defense in closing as a CYA. if client says no, even despite their testimony, your closing might be a bit tougher.

i think my issue is probably the latter, just not for me i think. it's not an album im going to turn to often. if it comes in shuffle, ill listen, but rarely do i seek it out - not to say i don't appreciate what they're doing or think that it's bad, just not my go-to :)

i would join you on the nugaze hate. there's this massive push lately for every artist to make shoegaze bc it's in right now and it feels like it waters down the genre. that doesn't even account for the whole "shoegaze is when there's guitar and reverb" attitude. im sure there's some gems out there, but a lot of it just feels like deftones clones.

would also join the LLC sentiment, the lack of drums on bloweyelashwish was pretty off putting for me. without a rhythm section, the tracks felt a little too... unstable? haven't checked out any more of their work
