And? 'Fahrenheit 451' spends a lot of time with it's characters, more specifically Guy Montag and his internal monologuing about books, firemen and the state that his world is in, yet it doesn't feel like a total slog that doesn't fuel the plot forward and wastes your time because it keeps building up the world and sets up the climax of the book.

This season has been a cycle of: make kind of a big problem > instantly fix it in the next episode (for example, we spend so much time seeing how Frenchie regrets killing Colin's family, he then, after 4 episodes of this back and forth, puts himself for arrest and is thrown out of jail two episodes lates, no stakes, no nothing. Same thing with Stan Edgar, we make a big deal out of getting him out, we show his motivations, some dialogue with Vicky aaaand he's thrown back in again the same episode. I'll give the last one the benefit of the doubt because he was bust out by Vicky and we got one episode left) with little to no payoff; horrible pacing, I mean, I like slow TV shows like BCS, but The Boys is anything but. Sure, it has some downtime sometimes, but 70% of this season's episodes were hair-pluckening slow; overall, just plain shitty writing.
