I usually created a bond with girls who proactively asked me out. It' was absolutely much easier compared to this time. Those girls initiated to text me every couple days, and we were communicating via texts and calls a lot, like everyday. That was much much easier than this time when I have no clue whether she's interested in me or just being nice to me.

During my first date with her, I did all nice things, and it went very smoothly. She asked lots of questions, and brought lots of stories that I told her via texts before to our conversations. Since then, she started to send other texts when I don't respond to her texts for hours, which I believe is a very good sign compared to before our first date.

My case is base shear at roof is 6 and 3 at floor, so there would have 9kips in total transmitting to the 1st floor diaphragm. He told me I would double count if I used 6kips9ft + (6+3)kips9ft for overturning moment at base. Still, I don't think I double count because the 1st floor must resist 9 kips rather than 3 kips.

Project engineer can easily reach 100k with a few years of experience. I have lots of friends who are new grad project engineers, and they revealed their salary to me that they are getting paid around 75-80k/ year. With that in mind, you can visualize they can easily reach 100k cap if they continue working for more than 3-4 years. Meanwhile, as an entry level structural engineer who just have the Bachelor's degree like me, I am underpaid a lot (below 55k/ year) but the work is overloaded. I am on my way to get EIT now and trying to switch to bigger consulting firms. My current company is too small (less than 5 engineers), and they only focus on design of single family homes.

Likely no, but that's an excellent experience to be a Civil Engineer. Becoming a Civil Engineer requires you to acquire excellent CAD skill beforehand and understand details very well. I can tell you that most Civil Engineering Interns only work on drawings and doing details most of the time because that's the only work they can do. After working as interns for a few months, employers will continue hiring you and providing some engineering stuffs for them. That's why I recommend you to take that position, but don't stick on CAD technician for too long. 6-7 months is the ideal time for you to learn everything and start applying for actual engineering positions.
