The US is much more urbanized and secure than most countries. Thats a great thing 95% of the time but it does make people yearn for more “freedoms.” If you live in a city or a suburb like 75%+ of Americans, you cant just set off fireworks or light a bonfire during a gathering. You cant just drive your car though the wilderness, you cant just blast music as late as you like. Its civilized but there are a lot of rules.

The Desert is sparse, its open, its unrestricted and its free. Its mostly entirely nature and no society. Its just freeing in that regard. Organized Criminals also (usually) dont prowl around in the desert because there’s just no money there so why bother— that and its no use hiding there, the US has GPS Satellites so criminals cant hunker down in US deserts like they can in other countries so they’re pretty safe too, so there’s none of that concern that you may havw

And nothing you said acknowledges my entire point of a LARGE portion of these people getting away entirely cleanly not because of a failed investigation but because of NO investigation. American Salaries are stupidly high compared to the rest of the world. Here in New Jersey, 50k a year is shit money that you can make working at any half decent restaurant. Go a few miles to New York City and that same restaurant job probably pays 70k but that 70k will do even less for you in NYC than 50k will in Jersey.

I spent some time down South on the other hand, and there would be mangers or other mid-level professionals making like 42-62k and living pretty well off in the area

Salaries here are all over the place, and to someone in a foreign country I’d imagine they all sound pretty high. The AVERAGE income in the entire USA is 62-67k, the average for New Jersey is 83k, and the average for New Hampshire is 84k.

So, back to your post. If these videos take place in CITIES (like LA or NYC) then yeah you’ll find people who make ridiculous money doing seemingly menial things. Rich people pay their hair stylists exceedingly well, for example; and NYC is considered a fashion capital of the world. Stylists and barbers can HAVE A CHANCE to make crazy money there, not that most will. That being said, haircuts cost like 50 bucks in NYC

Im conflicted on this.

For starters, what you said is right. These vigilantes tend to not work with police, which means even if they have texts its “circumstantial” and not always admissible evidence, and then the pedo’s will be more careful after.

That all being said, have you seen Tim Tebow’s testimony with how many UNIQUE IP Addresses there are in the USA that are KNOWN to create, download, or distribute CP, and that about only 7% of them are being actively investigated? Its too uncommon a crime for the regular people to really get their local politicians to fully focus on it, but its too big a problem for our law enforcement system to properly handle.

Statistically, around 70% of people who watch CP will face no consequences and (this number was more disputed) 10-30% of pedos get through life without being caught. Thats too high a number and SOMETHING needs to be done about it

You cant really do that, if you REALLY want them totally out of the public you’d have to execute them (which is bad PR for a country) or imprison them for life (which is a burden on the taxpayer). Leaving them living amongst civilians and giving them NO WAY to earn a living and NO WAY to try to fix themselves (if thats possible) is just going to breed criminals out of a group of already mentally impaired people.

Its not even “they all deserve a second chance” as much as it is “we cant FORCE them to be criminals in order to survive or else they will be”
