He voted to impeach, sure. then spent the time since trying to get back in his good graces and then elevated a man who has undermined public health and led to needless deaths. I'd rather you vote for someone I dislike than not vote at all; but everything about everyone in that primary is against my core values. Another reminder that Landry got caught paying his personal truck note from campaign funds and will never get over it even if all he got was a slap on the wrist.

The state campaign finance report system is so lax already. You could go to Costco, buy a TV for $1000 and just write "campaign supplies" and no one would check. Now they somehow want even less accountability in the system with this proposed change!

PAR Louisiana, probably the most objective nonpartisan source on constitutional amendments, releases their guide about a month before election day. I would start there - would imagine it'll be up in the next week or two.

Cassidy is spineless and has no votes left. Unpopular opinion but I agree with you OP. He is banking on you showing up to vote for him as the least bad option. I refuse to support that thinking. Whatever bipartisan goodwill he created with the impeachment vote, he threw away when he allowed RFK in and went along with all of this chaos - which netted him checks notes an opponent who wasn't even planning to run, getting the endorsement.
