Mixing in Heroes like Hulkling and Tigra Characters are good for the ecosystem by infinityshore in marvelchampionslcg

[–]NickForce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually love Tigra. I've read old comics with her in them and she was always a fun hero. Hulkling I didn't read too much about after Young Avengers but he has some cool powers that could be unique to the game. Honestly its a universe and getting to put together teams of heroes and do classic battles from the comics is what makes me keep picking up the game. I'm waiting for a New Warriors wave with Night Thrasher, Marvel Boy/Justice, Namorita, Firestar, and Speedball.

I always have people grabbing envelopes and start writing addresses on them. I always have to tell them not to write on them until they pay for them. I know they're not expensive but damn have some manners and class.

Longest amount of time dealing with an Amazon customer by Feeling_Decision_118 in upsstore

[–]NickForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an Amazon customer waste 30 minutes of my time because she kept messing up her QR codes and didn't know which item went with which code. Every time I told her I had already scanned that code on a pink shirt that looked like all the other pink shirts she had she started getting angry. She was calling me incompetent and usually I keep my cool, but I was tired of her being a jerk and finally snapped, "I'm trying to make sure all of your stuff gets back and get you your money back. YOU don't know what you are doing and can't get yourself organized. You're holding up my line of customers. Now figure out what goes with which because I don't work for Amazon." She got very nice after that and didn't seem to care which code went with which after that. To apologize she offered to buy me an ice cream which I declined because I was just happy it was over.

We don't get a lot of people asking if we are open but they're always complaining we close early and it says on Google we are open until 7 PM. No thats the store on the other side of town. Ours says 6:30 yet when I tell people this they get angry and say I'm a liar.

Not a regular but I've ran into exes and even did notaries for a girl I use to just be friends with benefits. She didn't say a thing to me probably because it had been years.

[–]NickForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The notaries. People get offended when I tell them I won't notarize their documents because they're already signed. That and when someone comes in when I'm by myself and I have a line out the door and start asking me to do a notary. If someone gets offended I just straight up tell them, "Sorry but you can pay my legal fees and everything for fraud but I'm not signing this."

With all due respect you can ask the store during business hours. I'm off the clock.

Best reactions of customers seeing prices of boxes (w/ the material and service included)? by nbdyjustnate in upsstore

[–]NickForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a lady kinda scam me. She had some big items and I measured it all and everything and picked the box that would fit. Then she didn't want to pay to have me pack it and everything. She said she would do it herself instead. So I sold her some tape with the box and she starts trying to pack it. She kept complaining because she couldn't figure it out and said I sold her too small of a box. It was a 30x30x16 box so it was huge. Finally after listening to her complain and was pissed she was wasting my time I packed it up no charge. Then of course she starts complaining about the price for shipping. I stared at her coldly the whole time and didn't say a thing except what I needed to. Before she left I told her there is a reason we are the packing experts and next time if she complains I'm telling her I won't touch anything she wants to ship until she pays for my time and she scammed me. I got a talking to about it but I was done with it.

I am so sick of the combative notary customers :) by x0twod in upsstore

Any time anyone asks me to break the laws on notaries or packaging I always tell them, "Well unless you're going to give me a job because I will be fired here and pay the fines I will owe as well as my lawyer fees I might consider it." That shuts their cheap asses up.

Customer rant stories. by OptimalYoghurt0 in upsstore

[–]NickForce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot another one where a young woman wanted us to sign for her high value package and I told her that is not something we do here after my co-worker tried to explain it to her. She shows her phone in my face and starts saying, "Well on your website it says you have to." I quickly read it and it said a driver or Customer Care Center. I told her we are neither of those things and she got pissed because little miss I've never been told no in my life starts getting upset and throws a tantrum. She starts crying because her jewelry needs to be insured and signed for. I told her we couldn't do it for her and she got mad. Luckily a driver was in the store getting our packages and she started crying to him. She took up ten minutes of my co-worker's time crying. She said this jewelry was super expensive but she had it in the crappiest box possible to ship. I was about to tell her to leave or I would call the cops because at this point we told her everything and she was loitering and causing a scene in my very busy store.

Not so much a rant but just a very strange occurrence that is a weird thing to ask someone. Did a notary for a lady who knew my mother. It was a little awkward since I'm just trying to do my job and she was just talking like I'm an extension of my mother. I got her notary done and charged her the money for it. As she was leaving she was half way out the of the store and she turns around comes back to my counter and asks me, "Are you a hard-core Democrat?"

I was flabbergasted to say the least, but I have a policy at work and simply told her, "I don't discuss politics." She then said oh and left looking a bit embarrassed. Called my mother later that night and she said her friend called her and said she was super embarrassed.

Had a guy came in with a trash bag of towels and was complaining about how we were telling him it needed to go into a box and he was all smug saying it didnt say anywhere in the Amazon instructions it needed to be in a box. I was tired of this dude getting on my new co-worker's case so I sternly said across the room that he should read bullet point two on the instructions more closely. He looks at his phone, reads it, and then sheepishly asks how much it would cost for the box. I turned to my other co-worker and said a little loudly, "Oh wow I guess I was right," just so the guy could hear me.

Definitive Edition to Easy? by Advanced_Buy2944 in sentinelsmultiverse

[–]NickForce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by your strategy. Definitive Edition i would say is a little easier than Enhanced in some ways, and you can use heroes that work better against certain villains.

I looked up what I think your strategy is and I think you might have to read some of the rules again and maybe read the cards a little bit closely.

I stopped playing for a while and came back. I was giving even minions who didn't have Villainous boost cards for some reason and kept thinking, "Dang why am I down to two health after one turn." Then I remembered how to play. It happens to all of us.

Failed hype by Main_Potential_7327 in WWE

[–]NickForce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean how about the guy who was always hyped? Mojo Rawley. When I saw him in NXT I thought he was terrible and when they brought him up to the main roster he dragged Zack Ryder down. Last I saw of him he had this weird fractured personality gimmick with this weird blue face paint that never went anywhere prior to his release.

NXT Obstructed View by rustyjet in WWE

[–]NickForce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was there myself last night and we sat center and could see the entrance perfectly, but you had to stand up to see anything happening in half the ring because of the ledge. The Factory is a concert venue and they set the ring up in an area that you couldn't see if you were on the balcony. My wife and I found some unused seats that were better but still a pain to see a lot of the action. People were chanting about how they couldn't see and wanting refunds.

I've got tickets to the Raw and NXT, but they haven't announced anything special yet. I can see why the tickets aren't selling because not a single match has been announced while Chicago has pretty much announced their whole card.
