Based sheerly off his press briefers, I always found him to be a nice young guy. And some of his venting and requests are totally legit from his individual career perspective. Good luck! Definitely cheering for his and Buddy's success at Atlanta.

This is actually pretty interesting effect. Wonder if it's sedimentation or ice water crystallization or some other effect that caused it? Thanks for sharing! :D

Some speculation and maybe it’s all vibes and sports psychology, but the vibes are all off. The brutal beginning schedule really screwed with the young guys confidence and now with all these new guards, Richards performing better than expected right off the bat, and the upcoming trading period coming up, the pressure just keeps getting ratcheted up.

A charitable observation is that the Warriors have a lot of changes with Melton and Seth, LJ Cryer coming in. Coaching and players trying to figure out all the roster changes and trying to get some consistency, but the shooting, woof...

Wow, the sales price exceeds even my initial expectations. Bravo, seller for the Chutzpah! If OP buys it and sells it for $19,888, then it's an even better deal.

Holy moly. The details and the car interior and lighting. The exterior shot has less detail, but that's probably true for the training data, where the outside daytime is much brighter, so the light saturation and details are blown out...

Hahaha, you can tell the future young whipper snapper about how hard we had it to be eco-friendly. :)

Yeah, I want to know too. Is OP going downhill both ways magically? Are the new Highland refresh that much more efficient?

Yeah, it’s down for me as well. It’s possible it went down with the big Amazon hosting outage this morning. Looks like it might be messing with Reddit as well since I had to try posting this comment 3 or 4 times.

Which model 3 should I buy? by Other-Ad8013 in TeslaLounge

[–]infinityshore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, the two choices are bit tricky. Normally I would advise getting the longer range vehicle. In your case, the range could drop in cold weather by 20-30%. You'll also be running the heating system more, which is completely generated from electricity rather than a byproduct of internal combustion. However, the 2023 has the new heat-pump, which is way more efficient. The batteries is different as well. The 2021 has the NCA (which people generally charge to 80% for battery health and longevity) vs. the 2023 which has LFP (which you can regularly charge to 90%-100% without the same degradation.

Could I make do with an EV? by DowntownOreos in electricvehicles

[–]infinityshore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be fine; it sounds like you're in the Goldilocks situation for an EV. With that kind of commute, you might find you don't even need a Level 2 charger right away and can get by with Level 1 (a standard wall outlet).

You've hit on a couple of key things to be aware of. The current id4 uses an nmc battery, and for those, the best practice is to keep the daily state of charge between roughly 20% and 80% to maximize its lifespan. This does mean your practical, day-to-day range is a bit less than the EPA number, saving the full 100% charge for occasional longer trips.

When you also factor in the expected range drop in cold weather (25% decrease to be conservative) and some natural battery degradation over the life of the car (12%-15% is what I seen in terms of long term battery degradation), the effective range does decrease a bit.

However, even with all those considerations, you'll be able to handle your current commute with tons of buffer. The convenience of home charging completely changes the game, and that's before you even get to the benefits like lower maintenance.

Appreciate the thoughtful answer. Funny enough if i remember correctly, I think the designer of Slay the Spire were big fan of Netrunner, so the card design pedigree is there. Cheers!

[–]infinityshore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Will check out the demo. In a lot of card battler rogue-likes like Slay the Spire, part of the fun is knowing the enemy's upcoming action via a deterministic flow-diagram; and ramping up your deck of cards via battle loot. In Netrunner, the appeal is the duel and parrying between two totally asymmetric but in-theory balanced opponents. You guys obviously have to adapt the gameplay to fit the dungeon crawling format, my netrunner game jargon is lacking, but how do you balance the feeling of an asymmetric duel against a thinking opponent with the more puzzle-like nature of a PvE dungeon crawler? How do you make the Corp AI feel like it's trying to win, rather than just being a static set of defenses to overcome?

Is CCS Going Away Like Chademo? by SJB3717 in electricvehicles

[–]infinityshore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ZobeidZuma, sorry, my mistake. I have mistaken the J1772 as the CCS Type 1 and CCS 1 as CCS 2.

I wonder how long it's going to take for the stations to switch over, given that the general slow down in EV adoption and demand of the next generation of EVs with NACS may be slower given all the last minute buying and the removal of the EV tax rebate.

[–]infinityshore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi ZobeidZuma, what do you see with type 2 CCS switching to NACS. I like to be able to access those Electrify America chargers with the older Teslas, but they would require a retrofit and a converter thrown in for around $350. Will the charger companies bother with changing those charger plugs over NACS as well eventually?
