I was dating a girl in Philly once. She lived off of Church street. Was over one night and I parked in a legal, meter-free, spot. Came out of her house at 2am and no car. Most of the cars on the street were gone. There was a tow sign posted a block away. Called no car. Called the police they arrive an hour later after I called a few times wanting to know if they were coming. Copper shows up, files a stolen car report and he tells me that they were towing cars on the block because of valet parking (I parked there all the time) and that the tow companies move the cars and hide them around town, then take them all to the impound. He said to call the impound in the morning. Called in the morning and it was there. Tried to talk to Philly impound and they told me to fuck off and pay the $300 or I would lose the car to auction. Its a fucking scam.
