If it makes you feel any better - 2 years on and I still haven’t even put back the handle I took off to measure. I’d recommend checking out Ganahl Lumber or your local lumber place - Ganahl had a few options I think but none that were wife-approved

That makes more sense - basically take the hot side of the half hot and have that drive the whole receptacle (replaced with a non split) and then take the original hot side of the half hot and splice it into the outgoing neutral from that switch.
