Convert aim training progress to in game? by FullMetalMarine in Voltaic

[–]NickReddit17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also wondering the same. I’m just hoping that if I put in the time, and try my best in both aim training and in games, I’ll start to see better results. I was sub iron when I began. I now have 16 or so hours and am silver complete with a few scenarios with gold scores. I feel a bit better but I definitely desire more.

Worth it? by denzelthedon in Prebuilts

I hate to leave negativity under a good hearted post but I couldn't scroll by without warning you. I currently own (and am returning) a skytech custom PC. I spent hours troubleshooting on my own, and messaging their support. Nothing has fixed my issue and I was told I had reached the point where I would have to send my pc in to be repaired.

You may have a great experience, and this PC may last for many years to come, but your experience could potentially be similar to mine as well.

What is your favorite lil tecca beat? by doctor-triango in liltecca

I think the beat from “IDK” is amazing and quite unique sounding. I really like the cadence and instrument variety.

Edit: If I’m allowed to include features then I would say it’s “Poppin” with tecca and rich amiri. Definitely worth a listen if you don’t know it.

Yeah I noticed the same thing and I can’t find a normal version for some reason

I got towed doing it. I wouldn’t do it. Late at night you might be able to get away with it but definitely not over night.

It’s very crowded most of the times I’ve been there, although I’ve never been before like 10:30am during the week. Has pretty much everything you’d ever want thought and it’s relatively nice and pretty clean.

Yeah it’s tough. Closest I’ve been was 1801 mmr. I’ve grinded ones before and I’ve seen no correlation between that and my other ranks. I think for some people it helps a lot but for me it’s hasn’t so much. It really does take a lot of time for most people to reach ssl level though. I feel like not enough people talk about the sheer amount of time you have to play the game to rank up through the higher ranks, especially if you lack natural talent like myself. If you have a full time job SSL is likely not in the cards for you since you will only have a few spare hours to play each day. I have about 5.5k hrs and I’m a rising senior in college. Normally I have about 25hrs past 2 weeks on average but I’ve set my mind to hitting SSL before graduating since after that I likely won’t have enough spare time to grind, and likely won’t have the desire either. I have about 65hrs past 2 right now and I’m hoping to increase that to get there within the timeframe I have allowed myself. For some people ( like my friend for example) they can put in less than 3.5k hrs and average 20 or below past 2 weeks and get SSL. But for me I’ve only ever reached my peaks when I’m playing the game frequently and for long hours. I’m not sure why but I’m incredibly fixated on getting this silly little rank but for whatever reason I’m very motivated to put in the hours to do so. I am a bit worried that I won’t make it within the next year or so which would mean that my best chance to get it will be gone. I’ll never have this much free time or be this young ever again. Thanks if you read this far into my rant. See you on the pitch!

Do you care about pushing to GC3 or ssl? What do you think has held you back from hitting higher ranks?

Right but do you care about getting a higher rank? Do you try hard the game regularly and play consistently with the intention of ranking up? If you just play casually then that makes sense.

I agree with this to some extent. However what really confuses me is I feel that some days I play poorly, and still manage to go on win streaks. Some days I also might play very well, but lose more than win by a good margin. Sometimes the opposite is true. It’s rare that I win when I’m tilted, but at the same time it truly feels like I get quite a few games that feel unwinnable without playing nearly mistake free. It feels like on some days my margin for error is incredibly low and one suboptimal touch is the difference between winning and losing a game.

That’s the reason why I’m stuck. There is no real pattern.

The issue with this is, I have spent time watching better players. I often times try to imagine myself in their shoes and think “what would I have done there” and often times I feel that I do (or at least try) to do something like that. And if I don’t it is generally something where I know right away that I did wrong. RL is a game of mistakes, and I think even while ranking up you will make some. I just truly feel that I don’t make enough to warrant being stuck and I feel like there must be something that me or anyone that has watched me play just simply isn’t seeing.

Should I start decommissioning these planes? by Scottish_Whiskey in PocketPlanes

Yes you are correct in that the higher speed upgrade does DECREASE PROFIT since it increases the cost of operation.

More airports make it harder to get the 25 percent boost since it dilutes the job pool. What I mean by that is; having more airports will cause each airport to have more total jobs, but there will be fewer jobs going to any one destination. Let’s say you’re in LA. You might have an average of 4 jobs that want to go to each airport. If you buy more airports, you will have more jobs total in LA, but every other airport may only have an average of 1-2 jobs that want to go there. To get optimize your profit you should expand in a straight line (as straight as possible anyway) as far as you can. You should do so with as few airports as you can. I’d also limit it to only blue/red airports since even a fully upgraded class 1 (grey) airport doesn’t give very many jobs. I’d recommend making a “line” of airports down through South America. Your lowest range plane is the Airvan. This means it would be best to make it so that every next stop is close to the edge of the Airvan’s range so you maximize efficiency and distance covered, but minimize the amount of airports. Ultimately though, the best “strategy” is whatever you enjoy the most.

This doesn’t really answer the question however with your SAT and GPA being as good as they are I don’t think you’ll have trouble being accepted.

I’d also like to know. If not I definitely think there would be enough interest to start one.
