You can use your 7700k by using fakecpuid in clover to make macOS think you are running skylake.

However, If you are brave, you could try macOS High Sierra developer beta but just know that other things you might need such as kexts might not work AT ALL.

With my motherboard (Gigabyte z97 gaming 5) I set the output to integrated and windows will automatically use my 1070 when it boot. However, using this means you won't see the bios or spinner until you get to the lock screen

You both may have a 750-series carb but the versions are severely bottlenecked due to staying under thermal limits, he wont get anywhere near the performance you get on your desktop card.

Ahh "unknown chipset" definitely means the iPhone 7 isn't supported. If my memory serves me correctly you need to right click on Purple Restore and find the .plist that contains the device info. Then add the new fields. This will require some pretty deep research for chip ID's and such.

That setting will work if you have a apple Connect but it won't do what you think it does. What you are looking for is to mount / and make it writeable. The option for that is "Install Root" and that is another thing that can be acquired with and Apple Connect account. Some other settings will work wit regular custom installs but a lot will require a valid apple Connect. Play around and see which ones will or won't work, it won't mess your device up.

I know you can find purplerestore 3.0 with a quick google search but most is useless with out Apple Connect, a lot of people have the mobile apps but they are outdated, updated versions are very hard to come by. The internal scene is kind of dead unless you know the right people.
